I have a question. With HTC Footprints are you able to send them to someone else. Like, "Hey you need to check out this restaurant," and then your friend sends you the Footprint of it? Or say someone's car breaks down and then you can go pick them up?

Anyone notice on page 30 how it talks about "the storage card", and "the phone's storage card"? Makes me think there is still a possibility that it comes with an SD card.

Without any further ado...

Phandroid FTW:D...Gizmodo, Boy Genius Report, Engadget, etc... eat your heart out.

Anyone feeling thankful to this forum, thread, owner, admin's, mod's, tipsters, staff, regulars???

I haven't read through the entire UG and the many many posts after it but doesn't the cover usually have a picture of the phone or atleast say the name of the phone on it?

I am guessing this is a draft of the UG???

This is probably a stupid question, but here goes. Are applications the same thing as widgets? I've got a storm 1 and it uses apps, mainly sh_tty ones that verizon pushes out and I can't delete.

to keep this on topic, how will widgets differ from apps on my incredible?

Thanks much for the manual! It looks like 512/586 for memory. Isn't that different than the 6 GB people were expecting?

On an off note, I discovered something very cool using 2.1 on my eris today. If I am using the NAV app, and I stream blue tooth audio to my sync system, the audio is played through my stereo like an in dash nav. Very sweet!

Anonimac already said that there WOULD be the extra internal memory. He said he has more authoritative information so no worries! If you see anyone else asking this, be sure to pass it along as this won't be the last.

Apps and Widgets are two different things but some apps may also have a widget part to it. You can download any app from the Android Market place.

If the Eris comes with a MicroSD then it's guaranteed that this will come with one and I'm betting it's a 16GB card.

Apps are applications that have to be launched, widgets are apps that are anchored to your screen and constantly update/run without needing to be launched

Long time lurker, first post. Thanks for all the hard work getting info for this phone. With the usb port on the side, do you think there will be a multimedia docking station for the Incredible, like the one for the Moto Droid?

apps are the actual programs, widgets are basically shortcuts to apps, features, and settings.

Agreed. How are folks going to provide 3rd party accessories for these phones if they keep moving around the connector? Need a desktop and phone cradle that can be used for power and audio. Ideally video too.

I'm guessing it'll be kinda like the Moto DROID's dock where it's landscape ... but I'm not sure they have thought that far into yet ... but if they do I'll be getting 2 of everything :) lol:D

Widgets add little functions to your phone (i.e. Clock, Weather and other things). Applications are like programs on your PC (i.e. google maps, games, and things like that)

QUESTION:

Never owned an android phone, but with internet capabilities I see no need to pay extra for texting/attachments.

If someone texts or sends an attachment, am I going to be charged for it?
Or do I somehow have to 'accept' it before being charged?
