Whatever it takes to get the phone, lol. I was shocked no one else was lining up, i was happy being fifth in line. I will say the appointment they made didn't really do anything. I still has to sign i'm on the kiosk, then the girl i had an appointment with called me up. I was only there about thirty minutes so it wasn't too bad.

Funny thing about mine was, they gave us numbered vouchers/tickets... but one guy was still trying push past me when the doors opened. Idiot had to wait behind us until they called his number anyway inside! I don't get it...

OK, you all need to try to find "history eraser" or tapatalk pro" in the market. Search for it and see if it comes up, please. Also, what software version are you guys on?

I still haven't been pushed any updates still on .514. The latest update is .604. :(

Am I allowed to post here if I bought it over the phone on launch day?

Droid X with one year contract and instant 100 dollar discount....$269.99

Auto bundle (motorola MB810 mount, dual usb charger and 3pk screen protectors)...49.99

total with tax...342.36

With the way smartphone tech is moving I just got a 12month contract.

But I"m excited about this phone. Moving up from an iPhone 3G.

Looks like, according to the order summary, it will ship FedEx 2Day, so I guess I'll get it Monday. I hope, at least.

Got mine at 6:30 in Charlotte, NC. No wait because I had an appointment. When I left around 7ish, there were only 2 men waiting outside in line. Several people in the store though...had to wait until the store opened at 8 to get in without an appointment.

I'm curious about the people that got their phones this morning from Verizon. Hopefully someone checks the "history eraser" on the market and software version for us.

Can't find either app. And I have 1.13.516.MB810.Verizon.en.US.

You have the second to latest update. Your update makes small text on web pages when zoomed out look a lot less pixelated. I keep checking for updates and it says Im up to date. :/

There are quit a few apps that just aren't showing up. Did you get an update when you first activated your phone are did it come with .516 on it?

Good question.. The rep activated it on the other side of the counter. I couldn't see what was coming up.

Well they tried to deny my contract end date upgrade but a little common sense got me the phone for $213 with no mail in rebate. Thinking about getting a screen protector and trying to get some solid apps and figure out android now.

Just picked mine up at a Verizon in Kendall, Fl. Got a $50 gift card and a $50.00 phone credit. Loving it so far!

I showed up to my store @ about 730 this morning and there were about 8 people standing outside. The store already had people inside so they were probably open at 7ish.

Anyway, I saw a guy I know and he said he was trying to get the X but the store only had 30 phones so he left empty handed. The manager had a list of people and they all had confirmed times for pickup. I didn't have a confirmed time but I did call 3 days prior to reserve one. Things weren't looking good and I was getting ready to just come to work and order the phone online.

Just so happens a VZW rep remembered that he tried to call me yesterday (I hung up on him due to weak signal in the office basement) and he said he indeed had the phone reserved for me.

I was in and out in 10 minutes. :)

Oh and this phone is awesome!

My wife is getting hers today at 1pm eastern time. We pre-ordered at the local best buy and were the fourth person on the list. Instead of having everybody go wait in line they let you make "appointments" to come in and pick your phone up when you can, so I'm heading over there on my lunch break with her to pick it up! I can't wait!

I was at my store at 7:15am. 10 people outside waiting. The store opened at 8am. Shortly afterwards, the store manager showed up and took everybody's info down. He said that everybody should be good to go. Their were some people who showed up later that had 8am appointments.
I had to wait about an hour or so before I could get mine. I haven't played with it yet. I will let you know my thoughts when I do.

I got mine...got there at 7 am...doors opened at 9am...was second in line and first out the door...."i'm so excited"

Which Charlotte store did you go to? I live in Charlotte too.

First in line at the Center City Store in Philadelphia. In and out in about 15 minutes. Between 6:00 - 7:00 a.m., 10 people between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. - 30 more people. I got there at 6:07 a.m.

the one around 17/18 & market? i passed by there while on the bus and saw about 15 people in line around 7:30am.

congrats!

Got mine from the 42nd street store near time square in NYC. Waited in line for about 20 minutes before they opened at 8am. Was number 33. There were probably about 50 people in line before the doors opened.

I don't know if this is the case with every store but I got a silicone case, a pack of anti glare screen protectors AND a holster--all for free! That's like $50 worth of stuff. They were giving them to everyone. The CSR told me that he was discounting the price of the phone to $249.99 and adding in the free goods. That's exactly how it showed up on my receipt. $249.99 for the phone, $11.24 each for the screen protectors and case, and $14.99 for the holster. Total cost with the early upgrade fee and tax was $334.76 or about $235 after my rebate. Not bad, not bad at all :)

Too bad it was anti glare (I asked if they had the plain clear ones and the CSR told me that they didn't). Still, free stuff is free stuff.

I hope everyone's experience getting the droid x turns out to be as pleasant as mine. And have fun enjoying your phones... I know I will.

Yep, that's the one. At about 7:43 a.m. The manager, Paula (who is AWWWEEESSOME by the way), came out and gave out numbers. But 7:48 a.m. There were an additional 20 people in line.
