Official "I JUST ORDERED THE NEXUS 5!!!" Thread

Everyone who's N5 has shipped - does yours still say it's in Kentucky? Because mine only has the origin scan in Kentucky at 2:00 PM. It's hard to believe they didn't move it at all today. I was really hoping I would get it tomorrow like I did with other Play Store orders :/

Mine was in Kentucky but is now in Danville IL since 7pm CT
 
I need to figure out a way to hide my wallet or freeze my bank account or something. A little over 24 hour passes, I've purchased phone that I had never read a real review on, I purchased a case from a company I'd never heard of before, designed for a product that technically no consumer has used with it yet. I even let Amazon COMBINE PRODUCTS AUTOMATICALLY for me to just purchase together. Today I even freaking started looking at wireless charging pads, WTF seriously?!?!

I love this rush but it's dangerous. My only actually smart purchase today was picking up a MetroPCS microsim that I will slide into the phone when it arrives on Monday.

Damn. It should be in Philly by now, that's how it was with my past two GPlay orders - I check both tracking progress and they were almost indentical lol Perhaps UPS just didn't upload the new status? Hard to believe they didn't move it when I have 2-Day shipping on it; doesn't make sense.

I'm sure it's just not updated. Tracking is not a live status. I'm sure really late tonight/am most likely tomorrow it'll say something different.
 
It's also a Friday, and it is a common practice that it doesn't move or get status updates on weekends. So you may not get a update until Monday am
 
Got my order in at 11:28am Pacific time, yesterday. Got my order confirmation. A co worker of mine got his order in about 20min. after I did. We both chose regular shipping. About an hour ago he got the email that his shipped and will be here next Thursday. Yet mine still shows up as pending. Seriously....I hope my order made it in on time before they sold out.

Based on over ten friends and myself that ordered within minutes of you, I think you'll likely be fine. Some of us got all the notices, others didn't yet all our cards have been charged. My sources indicate Google is very trustworthy and does not charge cards till products ship.

I'm not the least bit concerned. My release day orders for Nexus 7 & 10 tablets were processed and shipped very efficiently.

He's about 9 hours behind me taking when we got our ship confirmations into account and I did not get a departure scan until 16:12, which sounds like he should be getting the same at around 01:00 if everything is the same.
 
Just an FYI. Mine said ships by 11/8 and got an email last night stating my order shipped already. Woohoo!

Mine shipped from Kentucky yesterday. I ordered around 3:45 PM EST. It may be that Google has various warehouses around the country and ships from those locations so that more demand for one warehouse results in further shipments from that warehouse taking longer than a warehouse with less demand.

Agreed... My haste to order so quickly led me to be part if the November 8th group instead of the 5th since I had to cancel and do it again a few hours later... Sigh. I thought I would be more patient than I am.
