Official "I JUST ORDERED THE NEXUS 5!!!" Thread

I think I got extremely lucky with my Nexus 5 (White, 16GB.) I placed my order on December 2nd at 7:03PM. At first I thought that Google had make some mistake when they sent out a shipping confirmation only 9 hours after placing the order. However, UPS was at the door December 4th with my new Nexus 5. The same version of N5 now has a "Leave the warehouse in 3-4 weeks" message.

A similar incident happened with my Nexus 7 (2012), I bought it at Staples before they were supposed to have it out and had my N7 even before some of the people who preordered it.

Ordered mine today, expected to come a week from now, upgrading from an LG Esteem, 1ghz single core processor, 512 MB of RAM, 4.3 inch 480 x 800 screen with 217ppi. That's a HUGE upgrade for me

Very similar as Slickinator. Ordered one for me and one for the Mrs. I'm going from the HTC EVO Design: 1.2 GHz, 1 GB ROM, ~750 MB RAM. I thought it was pretty good last year when I got it...

Also switching from Boost to T-Mobile. The $30 plan should be just about perfect. We could stand the slow internet, but the occasional missed text message was the last straw.

We ordered two black 16GB phones on Dec. 9 and it says Dec 29 to leave warehouse...hopefully that moves up:)

I'm coming from the Huawei Premia, hoping the battery life will be way better

I know I'm probably being impatient but how in God's name is my freaking package supposed to make it here by the end of the day ? (I live in Texas)

Have faith! I've had mine for a couple weeks and live it more each day!

Because the information you are getting is just scans. If you look closely, it was scanned in IL at 4am on the 11th. It has been on a plane and./or truck ever since. It is certainly possible, though I would expect an "out for delivery" scan to pop up soon. If not, it will get updated with an "exception" and it will show the new date, probably the 13th.

Ditching Verizon for T-Mobile to get the N5, contract is up the 15th. My N5 arrived last night, will be activating next Monday. Counting down the days. :)

Does anyone else constantly check their order status even though the date is still 2-3 weeks away, hoping for a miraculous bump in the date?

You should use Package Buddy, you can set it to notify you after any status update on your package and it has a map of where it was last scanned

Ordered white 32 gig version on Friday. Paid the extra $8 for next day shipping and got it on Monday. I also ordered the spigen white case for $10. I'm on the $50 tmo plan right now.

Yahtzee!

With processing and shipping it will have only been less than 3 days! :)

To all the people who are having to wait weeks, don't believe it entirely! I would have had to wait 3 days for processing (regional perhaps?) of course it took only 1 day.. I have a feeling once Google gets its bearings the wait time will be reduced

I'm planning on switching to some from of T-Mobile too. If this forum is any indication of trends, T-Mobile must be winning a TON of new customers with their new pricing. Which is good, it makes being on-contract look silly (unless you HAVE to have Verizon where you live, then I'm sorry).

I ordered a White 32gb version on the 12th coming from an iPhone 5S, should get here on the 17th even though it departed an hour away from me and I chose next day. >.<

I hope it's the revised one. >.<
