Official Lollipop Release Dates

I'm a noob at Android software but what is the difference between Oxygen OS and CM 12S? My understanding is Oxygen OS is more basic/light while CM 12S is the typical CM release of Android 5.0?

Yeah from what I've read you're exactly right but I'm not sure which features are "missing" from oxygen :thumbsupdroid:

Missing Privacy Guard, theming support, custom camera app, MaxxAudio and Swiftkey from CM11s, double tap to sleep, display color settings, 4K video capture. It's a lot like AOSP. More here:

I was gonna say, from gleaning the comparison videos floating around,I'd take CM11s over Oxygen O/S,at least in its present state.
It'll be interesting to see how responsive/timely OnePlus is with the bug fixes/updates for Oxygen O/S.

I'd prefer it if we weren't given ETA's I think. I can wait anyway as I've got the option of both Oxygen and stock CM at the moment, a lot of people on the official forums seem ready to hang themselves though. Bit odd.

A lot of people over there just like to complain. Sad to see a company give them opportunity after opportunity to do so.

No wonder Samsung never talks about updates--this headache would be multiplied by a thousand devices.

Imo it's very lucky for OP that cm11s has been such a perfect/solid build or they'd have a lot more complaints on their hands.
Me, I'm perfectly happy with 11s (which sounds weird coming from an ex crack flasher like myself lol)
I just hope 12s is so solid :thumbsupdroid:

I manually installed CM 12S today on my OPO and they completely changed the pull-down notification drawer. Took some time to get used to. They also introduced the new CM email (had me reconfiging my accounts) which so far just feels like the regular Android email app/widget but it's blue instead of yellow.

The app drawer and keyboard are now also white instead of black/gray so that may affect battery life.

Chrome tabs are now integrated into the OS instead of the Chrome browser itself so you close tabs like you would an app by double-tapping the home button.

Other than these issues/changes, I'd say it's same old same old.

Pull down notification drawer is Android's doing, don't worry about the colour scheme as we're on LCD anyway (plus you can change it on the stock keyboard) Disable the chrome tabs in settings (that's a chrome feature, not OS)
