I guess the proof will be if we get a shipment notification. Considering how early on in the process I ordered my phone (within hours of the site going live) I should be getting mine on the 21st.

Mine no longer says backordered just processing! I can't wait the suspence is killing me! My cases that I ordered from ebay will be here today.

Just curious, does anyone else read "shipped for delivery on February 21" to mean that it will ARRIVE at our homes on the 21st? The way that the comment reads leads me to believe that I should be receiving it on the 21st, not that it is leaving the warehouse on the 21st.

I read it as you will have it in your possession on the 21st.

Yes, it means that it should be delivered on the 21st. That would mean it would almost have to be shipped today.

I see what you are saying but I read it first as it was going to be shipped on the 21st but you are right it does make more sense delivery on the 21st.

If that is the case, they would have to be shipped no later than tomorrow.
 
If they do arrive on Monday, I'll get mine later than everybody else, the delivery out here to the island/boonies is always _really_ late in the afternoon.

So no showing off your new phones till I get mine :D
 
Am watching the repeat of yesterday's Attack Of The Show on G4, and one of the scrolls on the bottom of screen says Motorola Atrix available on 21st.

Unfortunately it seems that AT&T's facebook commenter is alluding to it being shipped on the 21st, not arriving on the 21st...That's just silly, I should have sent it to the store in that case...or not preordered it, since I'll have to wait at least another day after it's released in the store.

Its all politics to hype us to get our hopes up. The secret is in the prepositional phrases....

shipped for delivery ON THE 21st
vs
SHIPPED FOR DELIVERY on the 21st

I'm guessing it's the later. also, these PRETZELS are making me THIRSTY!

... although, shipping for anything other than delivery would be asinine, but we are talking about AT&T here.
 
I cancelled my pre-order. Done dealing with AT&T and their dumb bullshit, plus I'd rather save $50 and cop from Radioshack if I still buy the phone. Terrible 4g speeds + locked down is a no go for me, plus it really isn't exactly getting rave reviews or anything...
 
They are definitely being cryptic on purpose. It should be either "Shipped on the 21st with 2-day shipping" or "Shipped with an expected delivery date of the 21st". Is that so hard?

That is true but if you look closely at the comment they capitalized SHIPPED, which led me to believe that is when it would leave the warehouse.

It's all games really, they're just playing with words, if nobody starts seeing shipping notifications today I can guess we probably won't see them at our houses on monday. I'm annoyed that I could pick it up on monday if i had them ship it to the store and if it turns out that they are leaving the warehouse for our homes the same day.
 
Phones technically would have had to ship yesterday if they were truly using 2 day shipping. That would get them delivered on 2/21. At this point they would have to overnight or you can expect them on 2/22 unless you are close to a DC and they ship Ground/Home delivery with a 1 day transit time. Might as well cancel pre-order and get at Radio Shack for $50 less...

Exactly - they need to get all their communication sources on the same page!!

Again - for what it is worth - this is what they just told me on Facebook:

AT&T Hi Mark - For customers who have already preordered the device and chose to have it shipped to a home or office, it will be shipped for delivery on February 21. Customers who chose to have a preorder sent to a local store will also be able to pick up their ATRIX 4G on February 21. Sorry if any erroneous information was share with you. And welcome to AT&T!
