My N6 is supposed to ship 3-7 business days from Friday. At least sprint split the order and my wife who's been begging for a new phone since June will get her S5 tuesday.

Had a chance to hold and check out a Turbo today so if Verizon dose not get off their but with a Nexus 6 in the system I will go get a Turbo Monday. Then hope something happens with them and Nexus in the positive before my 14 days are up. ;)

Monday? Enjoy your Turbo :p

Checking out XDA. Looks like a shipment is landing in Memphis tonight.

Not trying to start anything here, but just a out loud pondering since the note 4 has been mentioned in this thread a couple times.

I suspect if the bootloader was not encrypted (and was easier to root) on most carriers, the note 4 would probably be selling way better. I mean, how many people would take a Note 4 (with root, unlocked bootloader) over the Nexus 6. I mean, I am struggling with this right now myself. The swappable battery and extra storage and all the extra stuff too.

Anyway, sorry to muddy up the N6 thread, just some chatter while we all wait for this beast :)

hardware/spec wise note is kinda better tho lol but it has all that 'useless' blah blah associated with it as well so thats a major point reduction imo...

Has ANYONE actually laid eyes and set hands on this mystical beast...?!

One thing that's confusing me a bit, this is supposed to be unlocked all around, yet the memo for Best Buy says they are getting AT&T Nexus' in. If it's unlocked why would it matter that they're AT&T? Or does that just mean that shipment is only alotted for AT&T?

It may be AT&T branded (logo stuck on it somewhere) and carrier locked, but all Nexuses ... Nexus'? .... Nexii? are supposed to be bootloader unlockable.

I kind of got this suspicion that something may be up... I mean code has been found indicating multi window or split screen. With some xposed tweaks one can do a similar effect. Chrome latest update on my n7 now has a floating window. I honestly don't know what to think about it since pinch to zoom changes the window size! The large canvas of the nexus 6 also kind of points this out.

So all this kind of has me wondering about stock Android with multi window or split screen or running a few apps at once side by side or overlaid.

Yup, looks like the AT&T one has the globe logo:

I don't know how that's possible since there's one US SKU unless this is just a minor change they make at the factory, but it seems weird to brand a Nexus :/ I can't wait to see how many logos Verizon slaps on the Nexus 6.

They probably do it by lots rather than SKU if it's just a cosmetic change.

Could they, in theory, change which software is loaded on them by lot? If so, watch Verizon have a BL you can't unlock haha. It'd be a first for a Nexus, and I wouldn't put it past them.

Not only in theory ... in practice. I fully expect there to be AT&T apps on my N6 when I get it (and gone faster than .... something you can say really fast. ;) )

That's supposed to be possible with lollipop at first boot, so why spend the money and time and "lock" certain phones to a carrier and potentially lose sales if it can be done automatically at setup time?

Well that sucks that they're gonna have carrier brand marks on them. Rumor was Best Buy would be getting the AT&T version in on the 21st. I was going to go for that but not if it's marked. Besides, Best Buy still has no idea what's going on with Nexus 6 so the 21st doesn't look hopeful.

A little late to this thread, but here's my order info. I hope I get it this week...

Model: Midnight Blue 32GB
Order Date: Oct 29, 2014 1:17:18 PM EDT
Seller: Google Play
Estimated Ship Date: "Leaves Warehouse on 11/21"
Delivered: TBD

The only thing I would be worried about on AT&T is if it's sim locked and if it gets updates straight from google, or if there will be a delay?

Putting the death star on the back wouldn't bother me in the least.
