The price of the phone doesn't concern me in anyway, thats not why I wont be getting it. I wouldn't mind paying $650 at all. its just too big, not to mention no removable battery, no memory card slot and speculation is that the camera is going to be underwhelming again. I do like that it has dual front facing speakers tho, but that pro alone doesn't make up for all the cons.

I'm glad so many "Nexus people" will not be getting the 6. It should be easy to walk in my att store on launch day a pick one up!!

Funny you should mention that.

I had the same thought so I called my good friend who just happens to be the long time manager of the local AT&T Corp. Store, and a huge Nexus / Android enthusiast.

He mentioned that they've had lots of calls and inquiries. Apparently many of those interested, didn't feel comfortable buying the phone independent of the carrier they use, fearing incompatibility or other issues that simply don't stop most of us.

With the Maxx series I've had an easy time buying phones for years since battery trumps everything and until this year nothing's been close. Now there is the Samsung Note 4, the Turbo and the Nexus (along with the iPhone 6 +, but we don't need to go there).

So I'm going with the Turbo, which will be my family's 6th Maxx. I know I'll love it;

Or maybe I should go with the risky choice, even knowing that the Nexus battery or size might disappoint me.

Here's what I decided to do:

I don't need more than a day (and a few more hours) on a single charge. I sometimes end up with a dead Maxx because I'm out of the habit of charging every day. You know, I'm in bed, it's in my pocket, and, well, it'll be OK. Until tomorrow, when I find out it's the 2nd night in a row I used that logic:confused:

But, will the Nexus last that critical full day of use? The stats say it should be close, but how will I know?

So it hit me: I'm getting the Nexus, I'll be able to live with the size, and test the battery for myself. I'm going to disable wi-fi and use it instead of my tablet to see how long it lasts in my own hands.

It'll be worth every penny of the $35 restock fee if I decide to send it back for the Turbo. If that's what happens, I will live with my Turbo knowing I don't have to see a Nexus, and wonder if I might have liked it more.....

I read someone was told by Google at 9am PST. Grain of salt.

Hopefully tomorrow they say something.

I'm still waiting for Verizon to list it. Want to see what kind of discount they will give for signing a new contract. Really don't want to lose my unlimited though (even though I don't really need it).

For those on Verizon. If Verizon passed on NexSix, what would get instead? Turbo, Z3v? Other?

I was thinking Z3v until NexSix was confirmed. That Turbo is interesting though.

I have not found anything on the Turbo other than ya'll chatting about it. sounds interesting, though. I like Moto hardware, and love what I hear about the MAXX batteries.

If I cannot get the Nex6, the next phone on my list is the Note4, or maybe a used Note3 (to avoid contract). Maybe the Turbo, if I could find more about it.

I.

Like.

Big.

Batteries and I cannot lie.
I like big batteries and I can not lie...

Will we be able to order through Best Buy. I really want the phone but will need to use my best buy card to get it. Also no word on time?

I haven't been able to find any preorder info from best buy at all..

At some point you'll be able to.

That is what they always seem to say but the last time I believe it was just after 2pm. That was either the N4 or N5. That could have been due to the server issues they experienced though.

Where are our Verizon leakers / folks with friends/family at Verizon to give us the scoop on what's going to happen with the N6 on Verizon (i.e. can we buy from Play Store? Will they put bloat on it, etc). :)

Yes, this!!!

I was on a Verizon chat this morning, politely harassing the agent as to when the Nex6 would be for sale. No info... :(

Verizon is my current carrier, but since I have the grandfathered unlimited data plan, I have to buy my phone at full price anyway to keep it intact. So I figure I might as well go ahead and order it from the Play store. That way if Verizon does try to pull some shenanigans I can just go ahead and switch providers.

I have been thinking about switching over to Straight Talk anyway, since I really don't use much data at all (I just like having it in case I do need it), but I discovered that the AT&T coverage in my area (no T-Mobile coverage where I live) is still mostly HSPA+. There are some areas with LTE, and according to the AT&T rep, there are plans to build it out, but there's no guarantee as to when, or even if, this will happen.

So Straight Talk (using AT&T towers) is my back-up plan in case Verizon tries to pull anything funny. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly though, and I can just easily activate the Nexus 6 on Verizon without any hassle.

I'm ready to order, ordered some cases although none show that they'll be arriving until after Thanksgiving :( but the prices right now are better than they will be when the phone is actually in peoples hands, so I guess that's something.

While I don't miss the jerking around we got during the gnex fiasco, I do miss the epic gnex thread.

Also thought people might be interested in this article.

I'm happy to report the ordering experience on launch day for the Nexus 5 was fast and easy. Got the phone just two days later. I expect this year will be very good as well.

Would be cool if you cats put up "Pacific", "Eastern " time, etc. when listing times... :)
If they are very specific, providing accurate information I'd quite likely go into shock...

my meaning was that, if people who post here have any speculation on when they think the launch will start, just kindly put eastern or pacific. :)

So what I'm gathering from XDA, a few people have called Google and Verizon asking for specifics. Basically no time known yet for preorder so my guess mid day EST? As for Verizon, buy thru play store and put in existing SIM and it should work, but there could be a radio issue like with the N7. And of course...Grain Of Salt.
