I got my droid back in Novemebr on a 1 year contract. I know i can upgrade to the Droid X because my contract expires this year, but can I upgrade on a 1 year contract?
 
i called to ask and they said pre-orders could begin tomorrow or a week before the actual release. basically they have no info yet

I just saw on droid forum.net that in order to use this early upgrade to the x, you have to sign a 2 year contract, looks like I won't be using the early upgade to replace my droid. I would rather sign a 1 year contract incase i ever wanted to leave verizon, plus I only pay $30 more for a 1 year contract over 2 year contract with my employer discount. Maybe I will use my fiances upgrade on my line to get the Moto X if I decided I want it after it is released. I would have used the early upgrade if I could sign a 1 year extension.

i had to do the same thing when i went from my original iphone to the 3g i was 6 months into a 2 year then signed up to another 2 ... but guess what? i still left att for apple, that was before the hefty ETF (paid like 180 for 2 lines) but vzw network is great/lte coming in a year or 2=me most likely never leaving vzw :D
 
Has anyone read what the full retail price will be? I got the Incredible with my NE2 and will just be buying this one outright. Every article I've read states the $199 price but I haven't seen anything on retail price. I've got a couple weeks to save! lol

Or i can just wait 2 months after the Droid X release and resign a new 1 year contract to get it as my verizon shows my lines upgrade eligibilty as 9/15/10, waiting 2 months is not that long.
 
When you pre-order a phone do you typically receive it in the mail on the release date (7/15/2010 in this case) or is it shipped out on the release date?
