my upgrade is not until 12/28 :(
the droid incredible 3 should be out by then tho. (well probably given how fast phones are getting sequels.)

I voted thumbs up that's a great looking phone.

my upgrade is on the same date, hehe, which will give me some time to check out the reviews on the Rezound, Razer, and Galaxy, there are a few things I like about the Razer, one is Gorilla glass, second you can access your music and videos or any files over the air from your home or work pc, third water repelant coating for exterior and internal electronics, fourth is Kevlar back for strength and it's real thin and light. I am sure going to miss my Incredible.

But on the other hand, no immediate access to the battery (although I'm hoping someone will figure out how to get it opened in the event you need to buy a spare), and a locked bootloader so no rooting. If the battery life isn't absolutely horrendous then while rooting is kind of fun in an uber-geeky kind of way, I am almost willing to deal with a tad bit slower processor than the VigorZound....etc.

Never rooted my Incredible, and never cared for it, phone does everything I need it to do, reason for me going for a newer phone is 4G LTE and a slightly bigger screen, love to watch xxx movies when on the road:), and the occasional action flick.

The good news is it has a microsd slot. The bad news it is stuck behind the battery. Be nice to see the battery life when using LTE and the VZW non contract price.

Razr has an up front advantage for me with the easy access microsd slot, but $650 IMO is too high for a device with the same chip as the Droid 3 and Bionic. The key for the Razr will be battery life, since has a custom chip where the Rezound apparently has the same as the TB- which I hope is FALSE.

Another thing I noticed from the video, the screen is put together similarly to the way it's put together on the Thunderbolt. The reason this is something to note, I've had 6+ refurbs sent to my house because my Thunderbolt's screen would go black (a short somewhere). The reason I turned back about 3 of the refurbs I received, during HTC's rebuild process, apparently they don't have a standard for putting the glass back in place. I would get some phones that weren't seated correctly, were sitting sticking out of the plastic housing (phone would get scratched during speaker-phone mode after repeated use), and I even had one phone that the screen would move. I was hoping for a different design with the screen. This will probably have me looking at the GN closer. I don't want to have the same nightmare refurb hell that I had with the Thunderbolt.

If this smart phone comes with a "is like Gorilla Glass screen", then HTC will not get my money, there is no reason not to throw some Gorilla Glass on this smartphone.

From what I understand, this is going to be a US-only model like the ThunderBolt or Amaze, so HTC's top-of-the-line phone in Europe will still be the Sensation XE; is that correct ?

So far yes, chances are there will be a comparable phone released on that side of the pond also...
that guy should probably start looking for another job. After these videos hit everywhere he is going to be canned lol.

device looked pretty smooth though. Still not too keen on the fact that its 3 inches thick. but oh well. Can't wait to see the event on Thursday.

Dude isn't a tester, here's a link to his thread on some other forum (even though i hate to link it, lol): Pre-Production Vigor on its way...
If anyone is a member there try to get some info and report it here :D

(queue spy music, LOL)

where did you read that at? The Rezound has the 1.5 Dual Core MSM8660

and the TB has the single core 1ghz MSM8655

I think rushmore is talking about the LTE modem, which is the same Qualcomm MDM9600 that's in the TB.

Of course, if he's talking about the SoC, you are right on...

lol i already had an acct there. I posted this

Quadrant scores mean absolutely nothing to me.

How long does it take to put up more videos of this thing in action?
lists of things we want to see

1. CAMERA APP
2. Camcorder app
3. Camera App
4. let us know tomorrow what kind of battery life you've gotten.

here is his response

So the camera app twice? ;-)

I am actually in the process of recording more (and better) videos, at least a side by side with Thunderbolt.

The speculation is still the 10th. I guess Thursdays are notorious release days. All I know for certain is that I'm getting that ol "can't wait no mo" feeling.

"Gorilla Glass" is just a brand name for Corning's version of aluminosilicate glass. There are many different manufacturers of aluminosilicate glass out there that have products just as effective as Gorilla Glass. Even Corning is coming out with a new aluminosilicate glass that is supposed to be better than Gorilla Glass.

Rumors over on the Galaxy Nexus forum are throwing out the possibility of a joint release of the GNex and Vigor on the 17th. All just rumor, but thought I'd mention it.

Yep, talking about the LTE chip, but for SoC, I am a fan of the single core version of the Scorpion that is in the Flyer.

This is why I said the Rezound should be faster than the Razr, but the LTE chip could be a big downside.
