Ugh! Still no email from BB. Called this morning and the rep said he didn't know anything about them getting shipped. He started saying "There was a suit by Apple and..." I cut him off and told him I knew they were being held at customs, but that they had been released and shipped to Sprint customers via UPS. He thought they were still being held and had no idea about shipping or the memo that was leaked.:mad:

I called at 10:20am and I could hardly get a line in... When i finally connected, the lady told me that they havent gotten any yet and that they were supposed to be drop shipped either today or tomorrow and that only pre-orders were being filled. 5 minutes later I received a call from the mobile manager telling me mine was ready for pickup. :)

She said that the status no longer showed the phones were in transit, so maybe they are being delivered now, or will be delivered later today. I have a feeling that any future Best Buy transactions after I take delivery of my LTEvo will be at the Cary store where they still know how to provide good customer service.

wow...me, you and 3 other guys at this store...i popped in around lunch and the guy said there were only 5 or so pre-orders at that store....

Well, just got off the phone with a rep at the Sprint store. She said they wouldn't be getting any phones until a release date is announced and that the limited quantities that came into the US would be all pre-orders only in all markets. She said they didn't even have a demo phone. At this point, I'm getting pretty disgusted with the round-robin of information. Heard earlier today from a rep at the SAME STORE that they'd probably get them in tomorrow. I don't know what to freaking believe anymore, but I'm getting close to just stopping all of my monitoring of LTEVO threads because it's just stressing me out.

I have a gut feeling that HTC is going to throw everything they've got at this. With the crapple debacle and the impending SGSIII it's in their best interest to flood the market ASAP. I thought I read somewhere that HTC increased their production capacity greatly over the last few years?? I'm hopeful for everyone that this phone doesnt suffer the shortage that the OG suffered for the first several months
 
Just got home from the hospital and don't feel like combing all the pages, so I apologize if this was mentioned. When you open the box, was your phone in a plastic bag or sitting bare??? Mine was bare and I thought that might be odd. Then again all the IPhone we get work work come that way. Maybe i am overthinking.lol either way, Nice surprise to have today.

PS. Sprint still has my order in the negative and according to UPS My Choice I have a package coming tomorrow also from SPCS. Hmm. Do I get 2 phones? :)

I guess BB got tired of people calling them. Just got this email from BB:

My Best Buy just called as well to let me know it was in. Don't know if that's standard for my store, or the kid I was bugging for updates 2 days ago figured I would want to know. Either way, good customer service at my Best Buy (Champaign, IL.) Sorry to hear some of you have problems there. I use them 'cause my local sprint store employs only morons.

RS still has no clue. Called and they were like, "your the guy who pre-ordered right?". That's not a good sign for Sprint. I remember when I got my OG Evo there were like 6 people when I got to the store at 6:30 AM! Anyways they said they still have no received word. What is going on at RS? All I can do is shake my head.

Did he give you any indication of the shipping status? I talked to the woman in the Cary store and also with someone in the Best Buy Mobile store just inside the mall and they both confirmed the shipments to their stores and were curious why the #0299 store did not show the pre-ordered phones in inventory. The Best Buy Mobile guy said that possibly they received the shipment like all the other local stores, but just hadn't scanned them into the system. Considering the difficulty I've had in talking to anyone on the phone at that store, I wouldn't be surprised that the phones are there and they are taking their own sweet time in scanning them into inventory. The woman in the Cary store also said that they get calls that roll over from the #0299 store frequently which indicates to me a lack of focus store-wide on customer service. I know I won't shop there again after this is over.

That is a good idea. Everything you are saying indicates that the store is simply a bad location. If there is another one not too much farther away I would def shop there.

As for myself, the store I go to is pretty new and close to my house. However, it's def not a high traffic store like the other close one down the street near a shopping mall and they seem to be slow going with everything. Still nice to be able to walk in at any given time and be one of like 5 people in the entire place.

Anyone in Colorado get their phone yet?

all I have to say for right now is that pictures DO NOT do this beast justice. mine is not turned on yet (still charging) and can't say anything yet about my most anticipated feature on this phone, the 4.7" IPS Super LCD Screen (same pixel density as an iCrap but waayyy bigger. that's right, size does matter)

feels great in hand. easy to hold, lighter (but not too light to feel cheap) and a lot more polished then the OG EVO (which I loved sooo much, btw)

anyways, hope you guys get yours soon. it is much sweeter then you imagine it!
 
At this point, I've completely changed my mind. I'm downright angry. I tried being calm, but after Best Buy tells me there are a couple extras in the store that weren't pre-orders, I drive 45 MINUTES to go get it as quickly as I could. Only, once I get there, I overhear one of the phone people on the phone and she tells another phone tech they aren't allowed to sell the freaking LTEVO until Sprint releases a new release date. Screw this, at this point, I almost don't trust Sprint. Seriously? We need to wait for ANOTHER release date? Just let them sell the stupid things already!
 
Today I pre-ordered at BB(Roseville MI) and received my LTEVO 30 minutes later. I get everything including the $50 gift card.

Just lil' info for anyone who wants to give it a try. Goodluck!

How did you do that? When you pre-order online, the only option is to ship it you your house.

I'm guessing he pre-ordered in the store itself. I think that's the only way to get the phone right now as they can't sell non pre-orders until Sprint sets a release date. I've read about a few people doing this successfully though it may differ from store to store whether they are willing to do this.
 
So I'm sitting here waiting for UPS so just to torture myself, I thought "let's compare."
