He means store purchase. And yeah, something is definitely up...

How is it possible no store has received any stock other than for pre orders... Especially a Sprint Store. Most that I call to check for the blue defender and blown away I have the phone ... I called 6 yesterday.. From New Orleans to Mobile.. None had seen it yet.

Either they are holding back and revamping a launch day, with actual advertisements and what not, or Customs only agreed to let those that were pre ordered through since some were actually charged/purchased etc.

Based on discussions here, there were very few pre orders ... 5 at one BB, 1 at another, 2 at a RS, etc.

Then again, maybe they don't have the quantities yet.,

Would have thought new flagship phone would have got more pomp and circumstance...
 
i am hoping apple is forced to pay for this underhanded move.. to delay.

lost of sales and good will for both sprint and htc.. and customer aggravation/inconvenience

Totally agree... When I showed the phone off to all my buddies at work they all wanted one.... But when I called around for them to see if anyone had them in was told it was unavailable.... They were dumbfounded when I would say... If it's unavailable why am I calling you on one lol..... I just want my blue defender already! I :mad:
 
I have hardly seen any EVO LTE advertising and I am wondering why being its supposedly Sprints new flagship top of the line phone.

I must see 5-10 iPhone/Siri commercials a day, started seeing G3 ones and its not even out yet but I have not seen a single EVO LTE one.

It's almost like its being overlooked and people only care about the iPhone and G3.
 
My guess is due to the delay/lack of EVO inventory. Once they get them in stock, I'll bet you'll start to see some commercials. I'm certainly interested in it too!
EDIT: Also, maybe they're waiting til June/July when they actually have an LTE network to go along with the phone?

They don't have a launch date yet. I'm 100% sure that once sprint sets the launch date the ads will fly.

Didn't it already come and go? Whether it be the original date or the week later?

Maybe like someone said, they are waiting for more stock, given "originally" was supposed to be released in June, right? Maybe Sprint didn't want to get beat too bad in the race to get the One X.. And HTC agreed to make a limited supply to cover any pre orders.

Either way, the EVO LTE's failure to launch is an interesting one.

Using my Evo 4G LTE under the sun and reflecting it's light directly off the screen reveals the rainbowy reflection as I noticed in some review videos for the One X under natural lighting. Take your Evo LTE outside and try it with the screen off.

No developments or answers of any kind here. Just observations.

Ah right -- yes it sounds like dust from the factory... sorry to hear that man, not much can be done about that, and it'll always be a risk -- will you be returning it?
 
Something just doesn't seem right. First we had a date and a preorder date, then the customs delay, then another date that someone somewhere gave for some reason then now there are no EVO LTE's anywhere, you can't even order them from Sprint anymore after the first preorder?????????????????????

It just sounds funny and getting sad as so many want them and I think when the S3 hits, they will buy that as its being hyped all over with hardly anything about the EVO anywhere. All I see is S3 this, S3 that and no EVO's to be found anywhere.

Someone somewhere blew this for HTC and Sprint.
 
This is frustrating. I ordered on the 7th from a Sprint store and they have no clue when they will get their LTEVO's. Why would Sprint allow 3rd party vendors to release the phone and not their own stores?

I have no clue i have the same issue that you do. I called and asked and also went into the store and they said we still dont know when the phones are in. if its not here by June 1 im going into the store and will get some refund as i ordered the same time as people did online and have been without a phone for over 19 days!

Well I was watching the NBA basketball playoffs the other day and Charles Barkley pull out a HTC EVO 4G LTE and pretty much was promoting Sprint and the device. Man im not going to lie, the phone looked sweet.
 
Well, I broke down and decided to take my chances doing a pre-order at Best Buy today. Luckily, apparently the "deposit" of $50 is being waived for the EVO LTEs, so I didn't have to pay anything. I guess we'll see what happens. If Sprint gets the phones in before BB gets another shipment, I can just cancel with Best Buy.
 
Hey everyone, I dont have any more info to post. We are waiting on Sprint to get us the phones - they keep telling us it is "en Route" to us. AS SOON as we get them, we will start shipping them. Not trying to be difficult, but I honestly dont have anything more than that to tell you. We were hoping to hear from Sprint today with more info on delivery, but at this time they have not told us anything. I am sorry for the wait - I sincerely wish we had them to ship out to you all. If you have a specific issue with your order, Please PM me the order number and I will be happy to look into it for you.

As soon as I have info, I will post it so you all know about the phones and when they will start to ship.

Haha, I saw that too! I bet he has no clue what he has and how to use it.

I kept getting emails from BB over the weekend saying that my phone was ready to be picked up even though I was in first the Friday morning to pick mine up. I should have gone down to check and see if they had another. I could have made some good money on Ebay:p. Yesterday they sent one that my preorder was canceled since I hadn't been in to pick it up though.

Same.. Was annoying because my family had pre ordered from 2 different best buys so had double the spam. I think someone at store would have called.
