Okay, this pisses me off...
At local FedEx facility

FedEx has it, but won't deliver it because it's "not due for delivery"
that seems weird..... if you're nearby can you go pick it up??
See there, all that concern and you got yours before me.
Mine is out for delivery right now, but who knows when I get it. Could be very late in the afternoon the way my luck has gone with this phone so far.

I don't want to start a new thread for this but quick question...My phone is set to be delivered tomorrow, the 23rd. My AT&T contract expires the 25th. So I was going to set up the Droid X on the 26th to avoid about 50 bucks in early cancellation fees.
Will this work or does Verizon start the contract on the day the phone is delivered?

Wish I could... But I'm at work in the other direction. Apparently FedEx decided that since it's scheduled for 2-day shipping, they're going to damn well make sure it takes two days!
Oh well, I'm planning on taking tomorrow off anyways...

You actually might want to call the facility to make sure you can pick it up. I believe protocol requires FedEx to attempt at least ONE delivery before it can be picked up at a local sorting facility.
Just trying to save you some gas and time if this were the case

ordered mine sunday afternoon and was told online it would be the 27th when it shipped but i just got the tracking information about an hour ago. It'll be here tomorrow....damn working 10-8 all day

Just got my shipping noticed today, 7/22 at 11:11 AM CST. I'm excited that it's shipping early, but upset that even though it's been shipped, I won't get it until Monday, because of the weekend!

I do not believe that i have ever seen someone so excited for South Dakota!
I am however pretty stoked, as i have yet to see anyone with this phone. Granted, there are people that do have it, stupid store did sell out, but i look forward to all the oooos and ahhhhs my Droid X will recieve this weekend from all my BB carrying friends.

I'm glad a lot of you guys are getting your phones! Seems like they're catching up. I ordered over the phone 7/15 @ 6am and still have nothing. In an effort to reduce my stress and not call Verizon everyday, I told myself that if it does not come by 7/23, like they said it would, then I will call and see wtf is going on.
