I ordered mine @ 12am this morning online. I didn't receive a shipping notice until 5pm this afternoon, here's hoping it's in my hands tomorrow by 3pm...

Well, just got the news myself from VZW. Totally overwhelmed with X orders. Duh. I was told my order placed this morning around 8:30 (EST) and others placed before 11 AM (EST) are processed but most tracking numbers have NOT been emailed yet but they will be delivered tomorrow as promised. (Insert grain of salt here) The guy was totally honest and said their system is swamped and they didn't realize it would be this heavy. He said the INVENTORY IS FINE but the processing/tracking part is slowing things down. Stopped by my regular VZW store this afternoon and they are completely sold out of all 60 X's already. Holy guacamole Batman this thing is HOT!

No sweat. Leave a note saying it's ok to leave without a signature and sign the note. Done it twice before.

Yeah that's my concern, that they won't deliver it tomorrow and will wait til Monday, If they choose to wait I wonder if they'd let me pick it up tomorrow.
I also thought All online orders included free overnight shipping some people didn't have to enter the FREEOVERNT code to get free overnight shipping while others did but I choose to use the 10% and was told via Verizon chat that it should still be overnight knew it wouldn't be
It should go thru the sort. It the courier doesn't take it out for delivery it will be put in a container with the other 2-day packages for Monday. Doesn't hurt to call and ask. That is a much better scenario than if it arrives Saturday. If it arrives at the station Saturday chances of picking it up then are slim.

I ordered my phone at 11:50p EST (July 14) got the early bird pricing on it $149.99 and free overnight shipping. I billed it to my account and ordered accessory package. As of 6:30p EST I haven't received any shipping info. My order status currently has the "Processed" message. Just called Verizon to make sure pricing wasn't a fluke or something was wrong with my order, rep told me it shipped and would be here by 3 tomorrow!Give them a call if you ordered at midnight and still have nothing.
Also dialing *611 says there's a high call volume so you may have to wait, but I got a rep on the phone immediately/no wait.
So ready to get rid of the crackberry....
I ordered mine closer to 1am due to website issues and then some accessories this morning. Everything billed to my account. I keep getting the same message as you. I called early today and the CSR swore all was good and that the site hasn't updated yet. I just got off of a live chat where I said "I am glad to get a CSR" The rep replied "What is a CSR?" I told him the details and he told me it usually takes 2 to 3 business days to get your order. DOES NOBODY KNOW HOW TO GIVE CORRECT INFORMATION?!?!?!?!
I politely informed him that I got overnight shipping (which is the next business day if ordered by 4:30pm) and that I have always gotten my order in 1 day. His genius reply was "Just wait" I AM SO FREAKING TIRED OF CELL PHONE COMPANIES NOT VALUING US!

Keep your heads up, early adopters! I ordered mine within the first hour last night but didn't get a status change until about 4:00 EST this afternoon. It took about another hour or two after that to get a tracking number emailed to me. Like you, I was freaking out, but fortunately it worked out in the end.

They are not to charge your card until it is ready to ship! INCOMPETENCE!!!!!!
I worked in the industry for years and I have been out of work almost 2! Hire me Verizon-Sprint.....ANYONE! I have a brain!

I still have not received a shipping confirmation as of 6:15 PM CST today.
Called CS at 6:00PM and all they could tell me was that "Shipment is pending"
I just went through a 3 week hassel with an Incredible order that I cancelled in disgust & now it looks like the same S^%T is starting all over again
I even paid an extra 8.50 for overnight because I knew that FED X would not deliver on Saturday.

the woman on the phone i spoke to could have been giving me bad info since the card was already charged...she was from internet sales...

I ordered via phone at 1PM (Eastern). At 6PM, I got my Fed Ex email about shipping.
I live in Michigan. The phone was picked up in Ontario, California.
The tracking still says I will receive it tomorrow. I can't wait!

Not bragging, rather I just gotta express my joy. I upgraded to X through the VZW website at 1:30PM MST and just got my tracking info saying I should get phone tomorrow. Now I just need to decide if I should stay with my fully rooted DI or go with the shiny, new, and big X with the sweet processor (I know both devices are 1ghz, but I would be shocked if the TI isn't better than the Snapdragon), but (likely) no ability to flash custom ROMs. Cant wait to compare the two!

I believe it would be in VZW's best interest to have at least ONE resident geek on staff at each corporate store. Of course we would require an upfront signing bonus, free phones for life and a special aloha shirt along with freedom to wander about the store at will.So true. Well I finally got my tracking number a few minutes ago and phone will be delivered by 3pm 7/16. I order at 2:30am EST online. 
Just got my FedEx tracking code! It just got picked up in Ontario and is scheduled to arrive by 7pm Monday, but I'm desperately hoping it may come tomorrow anyway.
Since an "Indirect Signature" is required to receive the package when it is delivered, can I just leave a note with my signature on the door? I will not be home all day and I'm not sure what to do...

You can try and say something like "tracking number xxx please leave on back porch." write and sign your name and all details from shipping - address and #.
I received mine a little after 6:00 p.m. this evening. Being delivered tomorrow.....YES! I worried all day after seeing folks get tracking information that ordered 12-15 hours after I did. So you folks that don't have tracking information yet, you still could get your phone.
When I ordered my Moto Droid I got it around 11:00 a.m. It sure would be nice if the same thing happens with the dlievery of the DX. Everybody at work already wants to see it. My company has a Verizon Corporate account and we have several Moto Droid users and 3 HTC Inc Droid users (with others still waiting on that phone to ship).
This was my first time ordering a phone on the release date. I'm not sure I want to do it again. What a roller coster ride.
