Help ***Official*** Status of your Droid X order thread

Okay, so I ordered my Droid X online on 7/22, supposed to be shipped by 8/3. I called all the verizon stores around before I ordered online and neither of them had it instock. I also ordered 2 samsung intensitys (new to verizon on familyplan). Today I called WalMart and they have a droid x in stock. Is there anyway I could get this one and just cancel the one they are sending me or refuse the package? I'm not sure if I would be able to or if they would be able to pull up my account or what since I don't even have an activated number yet.. Anyone got any advice? I'd much rather get the one at walmart now instead of waiting ~2 weeks.
 
Orders can be cancelled. If it has not shipped yet, your upgrade date in the system has not changed so go to Walmart, get your phone, call customer care and have them cancel the order.

See, no big deal. Order has been restored to the universe and life is good.

Hey first post everyone :). I ordered mine on 7/20 in store, haven't heard anything from them. I haven't gotten an email or anything so I called Customer Service today and they said it hadn't shipped yet. The Rep also said that I wouldn't be receiving an email, I'd get a text message when it ships instead. I was just wondering if this was normal, because I'm not too sure about it. Thanks!

Edit: The Rep also said they were going to be shipping more out on Monday, and in increments of 2 days after that, but he has no idea which orders are being shipped.
 
Ordered on the night of Launch Day (15th-16th), Verizon had some complications with my service request and cancelled my order, recieved an email about it on the Saturday (17th). After getting nowhere with customer service all of Saturday, I just decide to resubmit the order on Sunday. The estimated ship date for the order was 7/27. To my surprise I recieved it on Thurs. the 22nd. I live in CA.
 
I ordered my phone yesterday 07/24. I was told the phone wouldn't ship out until 08/04 so I have a while to go. My card was charged today though. Hopefully I will be one of the lucky few that seem to be getting them early. In the mean time I'll be looking up accessories to purchase so that I can have them when my phone gets here.
 
Ordered it on the 18th, still no word of anything. Verizon CSR told me that the 7/27 date was pretty much it, no early shippings here.
 
For those of you who ordered over the phone and are still waiting, make sure to check your account online! Once logged in, go to Shop > Wireless > Upgrade Your Phone. There should be a note next to your phone that says:

"Our records indicate you recently purchased a device for this line of service but have not activated it yet. You have the option to proceed with your online equipment order after you have activated your new device, or you may contact Customer Service at (800) 922-0204 for further assistance."

If it doesn't say that, your X has not been ordered! If you have heard absolutely nothing about your order, and you should have received it by now, it may have gotten canceled or rejected like mine did.
 
I just got my email notification.

Ordered in store 18th.
Nothing is showing up yet with the fed ex # but it should be updated tomorrow :)
 
Ordered the 17th, JUST got the shipping notification minutes ago! I tried looking at the tracking numbr in fedex but it says its not found in their system, my brother told me it wont post in fedex until tomorrow?

sounds about right. thats what i found with other orders i've done with fed ex... ups... it takes time to upload to the system.

i guess they are sending a bunch out right now....
 
I just got my email notification. Estimated delivery is July 28th by 4:30pm. I ordered on the 22nd around 10am online. The order number doesn't match the order number in the email i got when i first ordered it. I also bought the dock. Has anyone been shipped the dock first, then the DX later?

Edit: Just noticed on fedex.com it says indirect signature required. Would they require a signature for just the dock?

how long does it take to get the fed ex site to load wiht your info usually?
 
Ordered Friday 7/16/10
Shipped (locally) Friday 7/23/10

so I should get it at my parent's house Monday 7/26/10 (tomorrow), at which they will have to turn around and ship it down to me in college station. I should get it Thursday 7/29/10, and not a moment too soon as my current phone's display suffered from an impromptu impact test a bit back.

Compare that 1 week shipping to my awful, hardware-challenged, LG Voyager that took almost 6 full months to get to me.

Also ordered on 7/22 and got shipping notice today, says picked up at 11:21am.
 
they definitely just shipped a bunch out. ordered 18th online and got shipping info today. SO happy i'll have it for my ~20 hours i'll be spending on a bus going to and from UNC-CH this weekend!
 
Ordered mine over the phone July 22. Havent heard anything yet (still early but im impatient since my current phone isn't working correctly). Maybe i'll get my shipment notify tomorrow.

From what I hear the NE is taking longer
 
Just got my shipping notification via email. Shipped out today thr 25th, will receive it the 28th by 4:30. Ordered in store the 20th. The rep I talked to yesterday was somewhat misinformed with how I'd receive my tracking number, as he said it would be a text message. Oh well, at least I know it's on its way!
 
We ordered two on 7/18 and received our shipping notification today!!! Wasn't supposed to ship until the 27th. Go Verizon!

Shipment confirmation received: July 25 @ 2:12pm, but Fedex doesnt have tracking info yet

same here, ordered on the 19th i believe and got my confirmation email today "Your order has been received, processed and shipped. Your reference number is..."

tracking number doesn't work yet..
 
Yeah, I think they probably arent actually being picked up by Fedex until tomorrow, so hopefully the tracking numbers will start working then. We got 2nd day shipping though, so we probably wont get them until Wednesday.
