Hi,
is there other then the stock one kernels for this ROM?
where could i find them, and how can i install them?
any help is appreciated.
thanks
I haven't flashed any custom kernels yet on the latest build but typically most kernels work with this ROM.
I use Chevy No1's kernels available here:
Index of /froyo/kernels3
Always make a backup before flashing kernels. You install them the same way you as you install any ROM .zip file, through ROM Manager or through Recovery. It is not necessary to wipe first.
I did exactly that; flashed Chevy No1's one through ROM Manager- - it screwed up my D1 totally. i needed to remove battery to stop boot looping; then restored to previously backed up ROM. Now i am back this new one again.
I do not seem to made any mistakes, not much there to screw up with, but it did not work.
any ideas?
Alright, I must say that this is by far the best ROM I have ever tried. There are a few things that I don't like, like, no app drawer, but I can live with that.
I did have a couple of questions about themes though. First, is it as easy as just loading it through the theme manager app? Are there others available that I could check out? I would like to go after a "blacked" out theme if possible.
I'm trying to use MIUI with my droid flashed to metropcs and I cannot for the life of me get mms to work. anybody know what could be causing this?
can you show exactly where this new link is, please?
thank you
Experiment with different kernels. Its what makes rooting your phone entertaining, for me atleast.guys i LOVE this ROM... it is the future in many ways.
IT NUKES MY BATTERY THOUGH.... i know the little things ie: screen brightness/timeout... over use of widgets blah blah but i need something else?!? different kernal? different version?
ver 1.2.19.0....
