I'll be curious as well if anyone has that accessory.

Amazon.com: iOttie One-Touch windshield and dashboard car mount for Galaxy Note 2: Cell Phones & Accessories
I'm really considering getting one. The thing that worries me is that most of the reviews are talking about the Note 1 and not the Note 2... Overall it looks really solid and I have a usb port in my car so it wouldn't be a problem plugging it in.
A pic is worth a 1000 words..... *Borrowed*this pic to show my cars interior (this isn't my car- my interior is black). See how low the CD sits? That's how accidents happen. I don't want anything that has me looking down more than up which is why a CD mount is not practical for me.
Thanks for the post. Yeah they have been teasing us for a while but the description sounds exactly like what I (and so many others) are looking for. Guess we will find out Monday if we have just been teased again.

Update on iBolt dock, from MikaelPe

I hate "teaser" updates. Teaser updates, majority of the time, set up disappointment...after building up so much interest.

I'm hoping thus goes the same with Sprint as he only confirmed for AT&T and Verizon.

Another iBolt update. Car-mode enabled on Note II
Didn't realize Mikael was posting on AndroidCentral also, and apparently the dock will be selling exclusively there and their amazon store initially at $39.99

Can you guys please let me know what is so special about iBolt? I see a lot of buzz about it, are they a better quality than other stuff or easier to operate? It looks like a typical grip-style holder, similar to Arkon car mounts.
Built in charging because it is a true dock not just a cradle holder
How do you see it as a "built in charging"?
What is the difference between that an your charger cable on the dash? YOu have to physically grab the cable and put it in the phone each time you dock, just like a non powered mount.

Got the Tetrax. Very small. Didn't expect the arms of the X to be a soft rubber, I expected more of a hard plastic. Easy to install. One of the two nubs to had poor adhesive and wouldn't stay stuck to the case. The second nub stuck on just fine. It does prevent the phone from laying flat on surfaces, but that's a small price to pay, as it works just as advertised when in the car. Seems perfectly solid, and I'm not worried it's going to fall off. The best part is if I ever change phones, I won't have to worry about getting a new vehicle dock. Just buy some new nubs and I'm off to the races in no time.

Just like you said: the cable laying on the dash is the difference.
Personally I don't like loose cables lying around and I can hard wire it in and the plug is right there at the dock readily available. And it switches to the dock mode as a bonus benefit.
If you don't see that as an important difference it is ok with me buy and use what you like not what I see as better.

I think I am going to go forward with my next choice decision for a car dock I have had enough endless teasing for a plastic dock, worse than Apple.
This was added to Amazon today and is not $39.99, not eligible for free shipping or Amazon Prime, not available in December and says for HTC with no mention of Samsung Note 2.

So they have a dock (scheduled for Jan 7th release) for a phone that came out after the Note 2 for $45.
What happened to the Note 2 dock or have they just been blowing smoke to keep us waiting on them to eventually come up with one?
