Two options -

Easiest - visit this page on your phone. Long press an image and it will ask you to save it.

Or right-click in your pc web browser and save to your hard drive, connect your phone and via usb transfer the image to the SD card and then access wallpaper via that method.

Did you try 320:480 as that is the G1 and most current Android devices screen depth?

See, now, I wasn't sure of the resolution for Android, but yes, your absolutely right. Much better now that I'm not loaded with gigantic files for background images. Thanks. ;)

Right that of course was the other result...large files to. For future readers, not every Android OS will be this resolution, so check your specs before you complain the background looks distorted. There is a spec for a larger and a smaller screen.

Actually, I jumped the gun, downloading from Interfacelift, the 320x480 option is a portrait orientation and not landscape. So it's more fitting an iPhone than it is a 3 screen Android desktop. But it is good to know your screen resolution to get the most effective wallpaper considering resolution and file size.

And of course...I just realized from your post that I too jumped the gun...Android (G1) works best with a 640x480 for a 3 screen android desktop. Of course I did check their site and they don't have one. But I am going to write them right now, directing them to this thread.

Whats really weird is that I dl'ed a pic from the internet and it was letting me crop the whole pic and now it wont let me crop the whole pic what do you think might of happened?

640x480- get wallpaper set and save in the android market- it does it automatically and it is free - chris

Why would you want the wallpaper to be a different res than the phone's native?

I'm fairly sure set and save also doesn't work for the droids resolution, because it resizes them wrong.

A quick Model and render of the android dude... I can do other 3d stuff if there is interest...

MOD EDIT: Please don't post images wider than the site. Either resize them before uploading, or post a link[/COLOR][/B]
