Officially Why I hate the EVO...

1- Why not use the Volume keys is beyond me....

2- Battery life.... I cant say that battery life is good, because Ive never been able to get an accurate reading since Im always using my EVO (whos fault is that?)

3- Finally, a real flaw I see is WIFI connectivity.

1- Agreed, which is why I have mine set to do that. Try widget locker.
2- Not sure what the complaint is here? You use it too much or you don't know how well your battery is performing?
3- Mine picks up a signal just fine from over 30 yards. Sorry to hear that you are having trouble with it.

I hate the Evo because the screen is big enough to use Multicon effectively - 448 icon capacity on Sense! DAMN YOU, EVO! I can now put every program onto the homescreens and leave the app drawer alone!

Whoa, I've been using Power Control Plus (widgets) to put more icons both Power ones and applications on the screen, but this Multicon one seems nicer since it allows more icons (no pun intended) on the screen.

Damn you EVO for making me have to redo my screens again and place more icons. :D

And the 448 is just with the standard 1 to 4 setting over 7 screens! It looks like that could be ramped up further... who knows just how many it could actually fit onto one screen?

DAMN YOU EVO! AND DAMN YOU MULTICON, TOO!!!

I hate my Evo because it is mine. No other "REPLACEMENT" will ever feel the same..... went ice skating and I was afraid to fall and smash my phone even though I have insurance. Lol.

I hate this phone is my sub conscious. My altar ego. My mini me!

I hate that I don't understand why my boyfriend wants to get rid of his evo....

I hate my EVO because I can't bake cookies inside of it.
I hate my EVO because it didn't come with my own private jet.
I hate my EVO because it won't run for office.
I hate my EVO because it hasn't even cured cancer yet!

I hate the evo because at work and at home everyone I know now has one...Maybe that because on 5/21- I started raving about mine. Sprint and HTC should be paying me for all the people I have gotten to switch to the evo....

Evo Tally
5 co workers plus 2 co workers spouses.
4 family members

I hate the EVO because my bf wont give me attention anymore since i showed him how to play texas hold'em on my EVO :(

I hate my Evo because I was the envy of my co-workers with being the first one with it.
I hate my Evo because I am always killing my battery by persuing the market just one more time LOL

I hate my Evo because at work I can I go to TvMov.com and watch live TV using flash while my Evo is propped up by its awesome kickstand... which I hate so much

So.....you were able to find one I take it :)

PS this thing is pretty awesome! I may not actually root it. And I hate it because of that.

I hate my Evo even more now that I have gotten a 3500 mAh Seidio battery; that, along with mt external PPCTechs.com External battery, allows me to stream and recharge my blasted phone as well as my Moto HT820 headphones for a full 14 hours of entertainment and browsing.

It's an evil, nasty, yet highly entertaining device. Damn it...

Yea I got it last Friday, its been amazing ever since. Want to ask you how battery life has been for you though? Still kind of trying to find a way to make it better. Been following all the tips and tweaks, none seem to significantly increase battery juice. And I already uninstalled JuiceDefender. Even though it claimed it was saving me x1.61 battery life, didn't see the different really.

I hate it because ever since the first when I got mine I have neglected my live in gf. She even the other night stripped totally naked and was at the foot of the bed and still did not put down my evo.

First off, I hope I'm not breaking any forum rules by posting this:

http://www.goodandevo.net/2010/05/20-tips-to-improve-htc-evo-4g-battery-life.html

I tinkered around with these settings a bit (pretty much following most of them closely). Today was the first full day of running it with these settings (i also calibrated the battery per the link on that page) and I'm on 11 hours sitting at over 60% battery. VERY HAPPY!!

Ok I did see that tip article but I want to know what you disabled to get the great battery life that your getting. A big tip that was given in the article was turning off background data and auto sync. I know these take a lot of juice but with me having and using my gmail and other social networking sending I can't are myself turning off these features. So did you disable them?

Well, let's see....trying to do this from memory :)

I calibrated the battery first of all. I leave 4G and Bluetooth off unless I need it. Wifi I leave off unless I am connected somewhere, but today I had GPS on all day.

My screen is set to auto brightness. I went in and changed the wifi and 4G network notification settings to 'off'. I disabled "always on" mobile data (and I think this was the game changer). I'm not sure what effect that had on syncing because my gmail/calendar/facebook/etc updated throughout the day without problems.

Background data and Auto sync was left on (same as you, i want it on). My screen timeout interval is set to 1 minute. My weather/news/stocks/twitter frequencies are all set to the lowest setting.

I think that's about it. Still at about 40% and it hasn't been on the charger since 5:15am!

Also, and this is a big thing too, I was pretty busy today at work and didn't really screw with it that much, so I would say that my use was minimal. That being said, the same amount of use without the setting tweaks listed above would net me 12 Hours max before it was at a critical point telling me to put it on the charger.

Hope this helps

He's probably jealous that you like yours so much so he hates your evo and by default hates all evos.

Reason #279 why I hate...errr love the EVO:

Wife's watching the Caps beat up on the Devils in our vehicle on the way via the Slingplayer on the handset and I am listening to it via the audio line in to the radio. It's not nearly as nice as watching it in HD on the 73 inch Mitsu at home but it works in a pinch.

Crew...you have issues, serious, serious issues...

What the heck made you even think about her over the EVO, even for a second? :) hahahaha
