Oh No Verizon Realized the pricing error!!

I called up the employee line right now to update my order to overnight delivery.
The rep was telling me there was a huge issue and the phone is NOT $219. Verizon is looking into it and apparently everyone will be charged $249.
 
I just ordered mine on the website. I got it for $249.99 on a 1 (ONE) year contract. Overnight delivery to my place of work tomorrow FTW!
 
As far as I know about retail law, etc, I am fairly certain that VZW may not go back and change the price for the item after you have already paid. That would constitute a bait and switch tactic, highly illegal. Therefore, if you ordered online you should DEFINITELY keep a copy of the order for your records, but they really cannot change the price once you have already paid (entering into a binding, legal agreement with them to provide the item for the price you paid). It is their fault that they sold it to you for so cheap, and they have to eat the loss.
 
When I log into my account on Verizon to do an upgrade on my account, it still list the phone at $199.99. So is this not correct?
 
just got an email that my order was finally processed looks like they have begun shipping
price shows $219.99

Yeah, I thought I was cheating the system last night when I was able to sign up for a $229.99/1yr contract.. but I guess it was due to a corporate discount.

Didn't know the corporate d/c would travel down to the secondary line as well, thought it was only for the primary.
 
I bought mine on a 1yr contract which had it listed at $320. When the rep rang it up, he was shocked to see that my firefighter discount applied to the phone (usually only applies to accessories), and it dropped the phone to $220 on a 1yr contract!

The girl next to me got another $50 off her phone due to whatever discount she gets...

it doesn't work like that for online stuff. they can cancel your order at any time due to pricing "errors". I have been in on many awesome "deals" that were quite obviously mistakes, and my order was later canceled. not saying verizon will, but do not think they can't

Well, whatever! My order is marked as shipped already we will just have to wait and see the tracking # post later this afternoon! :D I am quite confident that it will.

log in with my credentials on a corp account, I only get a 2 year option at $199.

My two year contract expires in 3 months. Interesting!
 
Ordered mine this morning at 7:30. I have no idea why, but I was charged $149 + I paid an additional $8.99 for overnight shipping.

click one year option on the main smart phone page then add to cart(after clearing your history). I tried adding a one year through the thunderbolt page 100+ times and it never worked. first time I clicked one year on the main smart phone page it worked like a charm
 
The lady in my store says it was $249 for everyone so far this morning but when she keyed in my upgrade info it said $199... She was surprised.

cart is empty after I log-in. ok, got the page, but now it's giving me non-logged pricing while I'm actually logged in.... ugh.
 
I ordered mine this morning with a corporate discount. Price was $179 (net of $50 corporate discount) for a 1-year contract. No tax, free overnight shipping.
