Yep took it out of my pocket and it went flying face down. Expecting a shattered screen, no damage! Luckily had a cheap screen protector on it and that took the hit. Removed - perfecto! Phew!

Trouble is the plastic chrome coated rim is a right mess. Chipped and dinged.

Phones working ok - it wasnt a hard drop.

Managed to do a similar thing on the N2 but bought a new chassis and it was back to new. Any ideas where to buy a new N3 chassis from???

Might be an expensive return to samsung!

Message is: - use a case and a screen protector!

That sucks! Sorry to hear about it, I hope Otterbox gets their stuff together and gets their Note 3 case out ASAP. I have dropped my iPhone 5 numerous times, and that's a much smaller device that's way easier to grip! The Otterbox on it has done a fantastic job protecting it from my clumsiness.

So sorry to hear of your accident. Sadly style plays such an important part of today's designs, all phones are quite vulnerable.

Housings for the phone will probably be around $10 and they are super easy to replace, so no worries!

Should see them going on eBay in the next few weeks.
