I really question the battery life also. HTC hasn't exactly had really great reviews and tests on battery life with the Inc and X on the 1Ghz. They need to improve their software to have better battery management.

I remember reading about this a while ago, pretty interesting stuff.

A dual core cpu has more throughput than a single core of double the clock speed. You could underclock that to 800MHz and have the same performance as the snapdragon in the Desire/EVO/Incredible etc.
