Help "OK Google" not working

Wasn't a problem. I uninstalled the updates, went back to original version and downloaded & installed 438. "OK Google" is still running. No harm - no foul. :thumbsupdroid:

I went back without a problem. Went to App Manager and uninstalled updates. Then reinstalled from Google Play: simple. No harm, no foul.

I have the exact same issue you described in the original post. Although my problem is on a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 on TELUS here in Canada. I don't know exactly when my "OK Google" stopped working for me but it was after the Lollipop update. I've been scouring the web on and off for the last few weeks looking for answers and a fix. I have found various problems related to "OK Google".

i.e. people complaining about the missing "From any screen" Galaxy S6 issue which is different but had some interesting suggestions to try. https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyS6/comments/37muka/ok_google_everywhere_fix_incoming_finally/

Anyways... one of the sites mentioned the "Google App" sometimes I think people refer to it as the GSA (Google Search App). The version I have on my phone right now is 4.6.10.19.arm

Instead of resetting my phone I cleared the cache for the "Google App" and uninstalled all the updates for "Google App" and it went back to some version (not sure if it's from kitkit or the lollipop update).

After rolling back I could finally do the voice training successfully and "OK Google" worked again.

I then upgraded "Google App" from the PlayStore back to 4.6.10.19.arm and it stopped working again...

NOTE: What you see is not necessarily what is set. I looked at the settings for "Ok Google":

Going the the screen "Ok Google" detection:
Which you get there by:
Opening the "Google Settings" app -> Search & Now -> Voice -> "Ok Google" detection

I see everything enabled:
From the Google App
From any Screen
Personal results

I then rebooted my phone and went back to the same setting screen:
"From any screen" is off.
"Personal results" is greyed out
The bottom area with "Retrain voice model" and "Delete voice model" are greyed out.

I'm back to the situation where voice training does not work no matter how many times I say "Ok Google"

There is a conflict between the "Google App" 4.6.10.19.arm and something else but I hope a subsequent version of this or something else from Samsung fixes the issue of voice training -- and ultimately "Ok Google" functionality.

I can already see a new version of "Goolge App" available at http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-search/google-app-4-6-10-19-arm-android-apk-download/
But I want to wait until the newer version shows up in Play Store for me before trying it out.
Google App 4.7.12.19.arm

Hope these above observations help someone figure out a permanent fix.

I just checked Google Play Store and I found the "Google" App has an update to version 4.7.13.19.arm.
I updated it and nothing changed.... I still can't do the voice training.

FYI: I tried putting my device in safe mode and doing the voice training... but it doesn't work in safe mode either. It's like it's not really listening.

For me it was an app called Bluelight Filter that i found in accessibility settings. After turning it off Google Voice Training worked and Google Now hears me. I finally just deleted the app.

I now have a new and different "OK Google" problem. I am now using an HTC 10. "OK Google" works fine until I use an app that uses the microphone. I have 3 on my phone. They are a video doorbell app, a screen video recorder with sound and my stock camera when I make a selfish video. After which "OK Google" stops responding to my voice. But it is only doesn't respond to my saying "OK Google" . I still can go into settings and retrain my voice. I say "OK Google" 3 times and finish. When I go back to my home screen, saying "OK Google" does nothing again. The only way to get it working again is to restart my phone. If I uninstall all the updates, the problem disappears, but so does most of the newer functions. Google support says eventually an update should fix it. I was hoping the Nougat update would fix it. Nope! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
