Help OK my stupid question for the day

When I get an email I notice their is a star on the upper right hand side of the screen. When I touch the star it turns gold or yellow.

What does this do?

Just marks it as a favourite i think.

Yes marks it as a starred message, so you can keep tabs on important messages in a cluttered mailbox. you can find all starred messages in the Starred folder for quick location
