Root ok...where are the steps to install Eclipse 2.2 rom

Make sure your battery is charged at least 80%
Place eclipse 2.2 on your SD card. Boot into recovery. Create a backup of your current rom if you have not already. Still in recovery, wipe data/factory reset and select yes. Then wipe cache for good luck. Go to install zip from SD card, choose zip from SD card and select eclipse 2.2. When it is done reboot system.

If you're already running a previous version of Eclipse you don't even have to Factory Reset. I went from 2.1RC to 2.2 by only clearing system, cache, and Dalvik. Worked like a charm. Some people are reporting instability, but that's because they're updating to 2.2 and then installing themes that haven't been updated to support 2.2 yet.
If you can't live without your favorite theme, you may want to hold off on 2.2 until the theme dev updates it.

I assumed that since they did not know how to install eclipse 2.2 that they were not running 2.1. But yes if you are coming from 2.1 you can just wide dalvick and cache and install 2.2.
Sounds to me like the problem is that you don't know how to get to .902. There are tons of websites, check rootzwiki for pretty great tutorials.
Not to be mean, but this is a pretty simple...not sure if you might want to be doing all this...
But as others said, I'm pretty sure the instructions only say to wipe data, but I personally always wipe cache dalvik and format /system

Dalvik is vm. It is what runs the apps inside android. I suspect you know what cache is already.
