Or just call customer service, and do it all over the phone.
Naturally they'll have you do a factory reset, but once they get that out of the way I expect they'll be 'happy' to send you a new/refurb phone.
Called customer service today getting a new phone by Wednesday. Told him what the Rep did at the local store and he asked what store it was too. I'll be sure to clean my greasy thumb to keep the trackball up and running this time.
