Okay Google isn't working

I'm using Huawei mate 10 pro. '' okay Google '' was worked perfectly but something happened and now I can't start '' Okay Google detection''.So that means I only can use''okay Google '' if I press the microphone button. I think after I set my voice for ''okay Emy'' useless voice wake up something happened and now it doesn't allow me to start '' Okay Google detection '' again. Or maybe the reason is something else I really don't know.. Is there someone who has the same problem or can help me somehow?

If you open the Google app on your phone and go to settings>voice>voice match, you can retrain it to recognize "okay Google"

The problem is that the option for that it does not work. I'm not allowed to press it

This video has decent instructions for clearing the data on your Google app settings. Many times this will fix your problem.

Hmmm. Do you have the microphone muted by any chance? If not, then I'm at a loss. One of the other things I found was to try and uninstall all updates for the Google app and then reboot the phone and re-update. I would have thought clearing the app cache and data would have fixed it. Maybe you need to flush your system cache, too.

The microphone is fine no problem. But something stop me to turn on '' okay Google detection ''... I'll try to factory data reset on the phone

Roostefanov, did you ever resolve your issue? Same thing just happened to my Mate 10 today, after what i think was a small update. Clearing stored and cached data doesn't work. If i then go to google home to try and set it up again by holding the home button, it says voice model already present and then proceeds to have those options greyed out in settings.

Any help would be appreciated, really don't want to factory reset if i can help it.

The same happened to my Mate 10 Pro yesterday, it appears to be an issue with the latest update. I’ve got it working again, but only after uninstalling the last update.

As you can see from the attached images the issue appears to be linked to the language package, all I get is ’This feature is currently unavailable for this language’.

Despite having everything set to English US, I can’t get the sliders to work to enable OK Google.

A factory reset won’t work, as I’ve already tried it twice.

I’ve tried all the solutions suggested above & elsewhere online, but no joy so far.

You have to update to the newest Google..yours must be very outdated..that happens a lot..try and you'll

Sadly to the best of my knowledge everything appears to be up to date, I've installed all the newest updates, cleared all associated caches & checked the firmware.
After the latest update, I was presented with a new option of saying 'hey Google' as well as 'okay Google' - At this point it stopped working.

Maybe there isn't an update pushed to you due to your phone' age..but that doesn't mean there isn't one for you..in that case you have to look for it..instead of you waiting on it..because it will not come

Having exactly the same problem since my phone updated at the weekend. Updated Google several times and get so far with voice registration before it stops working.

I'm having the same problem after the latest update, it also seems to be affecting voice detection on Android auto (it recognises the voice input but then asks you to click on the notification, but there isn't one). I've tried all suggestions to include a factory reset with no luck. You mentioned that you uninstalled the update, could I ask how you did that please?

Sure, from settings click on Apps & Notifications, then Apps, scroll down to Google app click on it and then click on the 3 dots in the upper right hand side on the screen - This will give you a button to Uninstall updates

Thanks, uninstalling the google update let's me setup the voice assistant again, but as soon as i go back to my home screen it's stops working, when I go back to check the setting the icons are greyed out again (as per your images). I thought it may be possible to uninstall the Huawei system update but I don't think it is? I'm going to email Huawei to see if there is anything they can do. Thanks

Mine are still greyed out infairness, but it's responding to my voice, the only other thing I did was clear the app cache. Good luck with Huawei, they were supposed to call me back, I'm still waiting. I'll let you know if I get anywhere

I've cleared the cache and reinstalled the google update BUT I didn't set up voice match when prompted. That seems to have provided a temp fix and "okay Google" is now recognised. As with your fix, the voice match icons are still greyed out. Ps; my language is set to English (UK).

I have an open ticket with Huawie, glad to see it's not just me since the 131 update. They suggested that in the mean time i try a factory reset. After seeing your advice i think i'll skip that.

Hopefully they'll fix this if enough of us report it.

Yes hopefully they will sort it out don't know whether it's the google app or the latest software update for the huawei mate 10 pro. Let's hope this is resolved soon.

My thoughts as well. I factory reset 3 times, once a completely fresh setup and twice from a backup. None of it worked.i thought i had a temp fix yesterday but when I tried this morning it doesn't work again.
