Rooting went without a hitch.
Flashing CWM through Odin went without a hitch.
Now I'm on that long-awaited backup. I booted into Recovery and I can see that the background is now a grey fabric pattern with the CWM logo in the center. At the very top it says:
CWM-based Recovery v6.0.2.3
and my options are:
- reboot system now
- install zip from sdcard
- install zip from sideload
- wipe data/factory reset
- wipe cache partition
- backup and restore
- mounts and storage
- advanced
So I navigate down to "backup and restore." There, my optons are:
- backup
- restore
- delete
- advanced restore
- free unused backup data
- choose default backup format
- backup to external sdcard
- restore from external sdcard
- advanced restore from external sdcard
- delete from external sdcard
- +++++ Go Back +++++
So I navigate down to "backup to external sdcard." But what happens is the background changes from the CWM logo to the Android with the shape in his belly and at the bottom, it says "Can't mount backup path."
Not sure what's going on here. I know my sdcard is in there. I was able to view its contents using just My Files.
I have Online Nandroid Backup and Titanium Backup. Should I use them instead? Or how do we figure out what little thing I forgot to do, which is why this says "CWM-based Recovery" and not "Nandroid" as I saw in a YouTube how-to?
Thanks.
