We KNOW Motoblur sucks! I'm getting tired of people saying this phone sucks based solely on Motoblur. Here's what you do to unlock the hidden potential of this phone:

1) Click Market
2) Type in ADW or Launcher Pro
3) Click Download
4) Profit

The Atrix will now make your bed and cook your dinner.

dunno if motoblur "sucks" but some things are annoying like how when you flip through screens the drawer icon disappears and is replace but the screen page indicator and i would have to wait for the drawer icon to reappear...but it does kinda suck compare to launcher pro lol

Exactly, My battery life and available resources has been stellar. You guys who say Motoblur sucks are killing me.

I installed launcher pro and I only had 3 home screens. Nothing about it jumped out as being better. I didn't give it much time, so I really am wondering and would like to understand what exactly about it is so much better than motoblur?

For me it is a combination of being locked out of the phone until I signed up for a motoblur account (same issue with Google market but worse) and it messes up outgoing email to a private server and blocks outgoing email to AT&T's shared SMTP server.

Its just crapware, seriously considering the alternate launchers, but do they fix the account controls that Motoblur uses? And what's with needing all those access to personal info permissions?

Even on the Atrix, motoblur is a bit slower than 3rd part launchers (such as launcher pro). Specifically the app drawer, the apps scroll choppy compared to to laincher pro. The moto blur widgets are very nice, however.

It runs a lot better than motoblur. Yes, by default, Launcher Pro only has 3 screens. This can be changed in the preferences. LP has a scroll cache which makes it scroll a lot more fluid than motoblur.
 
I too love launcher pro. I had a captivate and didn't like the touch wiz it came with either. I don't do face book.....my space and all that other social networking thing so I don't really need or care for moto blur. I'm not an un-social person.....just not into putting my life out on the internet for all to see.
