Help omg so many problems!

Lurker
i posted here a while back because every time i put my sg2 on sound, it'd change itself back to silent, even if i was nowhere near it. it's still doing that but, and i've missed calls because of it, but it's got even more annoying, if i put it on silent it now changes itself back to sound - which means i've had people ring me in the cinema (not good), in meetings (also not good) and so on. i can't just switch to silent if i'm somewhere that demands it, i either have to power down, or go on flight mode, or go into the master volume setting and turn all the sliders to zero.

if that wasn't annoying enough, recently my sg2 has just gone bonkers. first of all the sound graphic vanished (so if i use the volume buttons, the volume setting goes up and down but the green bar that tells you the level doesn't appear)

then the other night it got super hot, to the point i could cry an egg on the back of the phone. it was running out of battery at that point (late at night) so i turned it off, plugged it in to charge, and left it overnight. in the morning it seemed to be ok, but within 3 hours it was telling me the battery was critically low and was boiling again. it's done that every night since and gets to that stage really often. when it gets too hot and flashes up the battery warning i plug it in and leave it for a while to charge, but once it's charged, i unplug it and even sending one text is enough to boil it up again.

while this is going on the whole thing has slowed down. the predictive text on the keyboard just isn't working at all, i type a letter and nothing happens, i have to wait half a minute for any predictions, or for the letter to show up in the text box. it's ridiculous, it takes me 5 mins to write a text!

i'm glad i tried this phone, as i've had a good look at how it works, but now i am really really looking forward to the new iphone.

Hey, that's the best phone you can have for a smartphone, what your problem is, is that your stock rom is corrupted, you need to reflash the rom, so its new out of the box, factory/reset is not the answer, you need to do a full wipe the correct way and reinstall your stock rom, using a computer and odin.

Wow, I sorry to hear about all of your problems. I have an HTC EVO 4G, and love it. Though, I have had a few problem as detailed in a few of my posts.

Please try a different Android phone and do not became an Apple head.

Sounds like you have a rouge app using your CPU or ram or both.
Check your task manager and exit all applications then click the ram tab and select clear memory.

Regardless of what phone or manufacturer, its not right that there should be issues like that. As it is under warranty, I strongly recommend just getting a replacement.

Even IPhones have problems. The screen colour is not consistent between phones, and battery drain problem also happens for some and not others. Just pointing out issues occur. If its serious enough, get a replacement since that's what the warranty is for.

Cheers
