Root [On Hold] JellyBean CM10.1

I'm just using the pre-packaged kernel from your iconvmu repo. Do I need to build alongside it? It said it was still supported to use a pre-packaged one when I compiled.

Here's the vendor:

And in the event that you need the kernel source

Not working. I tried to install but got status 7. Apparently some files were missing. Sorry it took so long to post, but my backup got messed up so I had to back it to stock rom with no root.

Did you try the desktop.zip a few pages back? You have to mod the updater script in my rom with what's in that zip file. (Not that it matters, since the framework files aren't there nor are the libs)

No I didn't, but it's pointless to try now right? Do you think you'll be able to get the files?

It is pointless now, but in the future it'll be necessary. We have the files, just need to get it to compile correctly. We'll see what interloper and I can come up with.

You have to open my cm10 zip, find the updater scripts, and replace them with the scripts in the desktop.zip. Although thinking about it now, those are for cm 10 and not 10.1. They might need to be updated. I'll look into it when I get out of class.

Jimmy422, if you know how, make me a collaborator on you repos so I can push to them also. If not, I can create my own and work things back toward you, but I'd rather just be a collaborator.

Been working with xInterlopeRx tonight on getting this working. I'm done for today but he might be able to do something while I'm away. I'll be back at it ASAP.

Great work man. I found out where to change the ramdisk permissions so I'll be comparing CM kernel perms with ours tomorrow to see what permissions need changed for CM.

Not sure if you know how to do that already but I just found where the perms are.

I don't know anything about that, so any help is appreciated!

I've been packing to go home for spring break so I haven't had a chance to work on it. I'll be working on it this weekend provided I can get directions as to what to check next, preferably from interloper.

Ouch, that must have been a blower.

Windows secure boot. Most BIOS are now UEFI, but I didn't create that partition when I setup the build-box. I wired in a sata DVD drive and it wouldn't boot. I tried everything I could, but eventually I had to copy as much off of the drive as I could and re-install EVERYTHING. I'm about 45 minutes away from actually working on android. See how much I love you?

Um...until you forget about us right;)
