this were i ended up after my phone shut of 3 times in the past week. needed to pull batt to get it to turn on
see what happens

Babylyn: Hi, my name is Babylyn. How may I help you?

don: hello, i have a bionic. i love the phone , i came from a black berry, but i have a huge issue. this is the 2nd phone so far and this one is now shutting off randomly. this seems to be a issue as per android forums and with my line of work i can not have this happen

Babylyn: I apologize for the inconvenience, assuredly, I will do my best to help you with this.

Babylyn: Have you tried removing the battery?

don: i used to be a cell tech for verizon so i did all the standard fix's

Babylyn: If troubleshooting steps did not resolved the issue, this means there is problem with the phone that needs to be evaluated by our technician.

Babylyn: Most Motorola phones have a standard one-year warranty from the date of purchase barring physical or liquid damage. You may send the phone in for evaluation and possible repair.

don: does this mean i have to replace it with the store? i can not be without a phone do to business

Babylyn: Since your phone is in warranty, you may prefer to check with your carrier for insurance, replacement or exchange programs available with your plan or monthly fee.

don: is this an issue that the phone has?

Babylyn: We are always gathering input from owners from calls, e-mails, the Web and other sources.

.
Babylyn: I can't say for sure if this is known or common, but it will certainly be passed on.

Babylyn: We do apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you and want to assure you that Motorola does value your feedback.

Babylyn: We open a record for all consumer contacts which are then routed to the proper department for any further research.

don: ok. i guess. i was very skeptical about leaving black berry because of its reliability so this is not easing that skepticism

Babylyn: I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

don: how do i re connect to this if the issue persists after i get a replacement

Babylyn: We will going to escalate your issue to our engineering department to specifically review the area you are referring to.

don: are you going to email me a case number

Babylyn: It will automatically send on your email.

: ok thank you

Do you know if the application "Social Location" is running on your phone? I had my phone black screen 3 times yesterday on me. Had the motoblur tracking information pulled to see what it captured about my phone's activities.

I discovered that all 3 times mine black screened the application I mentioned hit some registry error and the motoblur tracking just suddenly looses trace of the phone's activity.

Last entry shown before a new START_BOOT process occurs is that registry failed for com.aloqa.me.client_module.android_sl_vzw.

I found that this application is a modification of the application com.aloqa.me.client_module.android (Look up "Aloqa - Always be a Local" on the market and you'll see it's an identical match of the "Social Location" application, only difference I see is that the logo was stripped). The good thing is the application can be turned off within the application, while in "Social Location" hit the Menu button and you'll see as the only option "Turn Off" which stops the application.

At the moment I'm thinking that application is the culprit.

i just had it again. got offline with moto they want me to send in the phone 7 day turnaround. i have social turned off. i did download an app today. i bet it has something to do with the interacting of apps and something in motoblur.
