On my 3rd Eris now (bad speaker).

I love my Eris but have had a recurring issue with my first two devices. I had a problem with a buzzing or vibration type of noise during my calls. It would get worse if I turned up the volume. For some reason the internal speaker (the one for normal calls) went bad. I have no idea why it happened but two phones in a row seems very odd. Neither of the first two phones were dropped or mishandled in any way.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Verizon has been great about replacing the phones but I was wondering if I may have done something to cause this.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Bryan

My dad's Eris' external speaker died yesterday after 2 weeks for no reason. We couldn't get any sounds coming out of it...no ringtones, no youtube audio, no speaker mode on phone calls. Did battery pulls and reboots and everything. No luck. Verizon tech checked it out for a bit at the store and then gave us a new one to replace it. Sucks, but at least they didn't hassle us. Hopefully that was just a rare malfunctioning unit.

I'm on my second at the moment. And hopefully the last. My first had the trackball stop responding to scrolling down. Every other direction worked except down. I never really thought I used the trackball all that much, until it didn't work!
