Purchased an Onda Vi30 Tablet direct from Onda:(

I did placed the order on the 28 June 2012
I received the tablet on the 16 July :p but after a few days to turn it on I have have to reset it:(
I emailed them reported my concerns and was asked to send the tablet back, which I did on the 10 August.
They have recieved the tablet back and aslo have agreed to refund it back via Paypal as I emailed with my problems within 7 days.

Have they refunded, NO:mad:

Are they responding to emails, NO:mad:

So basically they have my money, my tablet:mad:

What I have is nothing:mad:

Basically, if you buy a tablet, buy from retailer in your country so at least you can some backup.:mad:

If Onda monitor this forum then Jason and Bella should be dealing with this.
 
Only buy from US sellers that give a good warranty, pre mod, upgrade and test them before the sale.

I think Vim Tailor's experience should be a lesson for everyone. Buying a Chinese Android from China is caveat emptor...let the buyer beware.

I think that one should only do this if..
1) You live in China.
2) You can speak Chinese.

If you're in the UK, buy from a UK retailer, if you're in the US, buy from a US retailer, etc. As there are consumer protection laws to help and protect you.
 
for the guy who asked me, I am in no way affiliated with FLsuperstore.com

But the owner Frank has taken care of me so well, I have not only suggest everyone use him, I learned app inventor to build him a shortcut app for his tablets, did all the work to get it on google play and Amazon and on my dime and time, with no expectation of anything in return but to say thank you.
 
Oh yeh FLsuperstore seems to be a good USA based business.

Problem a lot of the times, the Shenzhen wholesalers make it seem like they're in the US, with US phone numbers, prices in dollars, good English, etc. I'm sure people are taken in by this. They think they're dealing with a US vendor with all the consumer protection that offers, when in fact they're dealing with a Mainland Chinese vendor that has no consumer protection whatsoever, caveat emptor.

I've a couple of techy friends who actually live in Shenzhen, and they even won't buy off-brand budget Chinese devices from the vendors there. They go into Hong Kong SAR and buy Samsung, Asus, Sony, HTC, Motorola etc.

I got a ONDA tablet from a seller in South Africa and Android does not start up.... The tablet is basically useless, and I cannot get hold of the guy who sold it to me.
I need to contact ONDA in china to see if they can assist me with firmware to fix my tablet.

What is the website of ONDA China?
How do I contact them directly?

Your help will really be appreciated!

BTW this is the company that makes tablets with built-in censoring. Some Onda devices can't access Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, Google, and other sites deemed illegal and undesirable by the Chinese government.
