Root one click root and htc evo v 4g

I've recently heard of one click root and decided to check it out., since I want to root my ego v 4g. I came across a section about the 3D that stated that it was not yet compatible but later went on to say why you should root with it. I just want some clarification on this subject from anyone that can provide extra information.

If you didn't have to unlock the boot loader via htc dev it might just be possible. But because of that, there are no one click methods with most htc devices.

Most one clicks refer to Samsung devices.
