Root One Click Root App....

X10iUser

Android Expert
It starts the process and reboots, but if it doesn't install Busybox, downloaded it from the Market and it should confirm the phone has been rooted.

Having trouble rooting your phone? This might be just for you!

What this does

It is an app you install (currently you must side load it, but it will be on the market once it's had some testing here on XDA), that has a single button that will root your device. Should work on ALL Android devices -- please leave a note if it works or doesn't work on your device.

How safe is this?

Should be 100% safe - nothing on disk is changed besides the root binaries, so if something goes wrong, simply rebooting the device should fix up any and all issues. Let me know if you find any bugs!

Am I right in thinking this works on 2.1?
Tried and tested last night on my newly flashed UK generic 2.1. Like I said it reboots but hadn't installed anything, but if you get Busybox from the Market after it will confirm it's been rooted.

Way better than Superoneclick. Took 15 seconds. Once I loaded JIT ver2, I was having all sorts of issues trying to root.

Great Find!

There's a newer version of the app available on Android Market now which allows both root and unroot :D

waiting and underneath says it hasnt been rooted :-(

cheers anyway bud

im really wanting to debrand not really working out

nice and simple :D
first time i tried to install busybox it said my phone was not nand unlocked although it was rooted, a couple of install attempts and it installed.

I did it with this app... it worked just fine, i could install Titanium backup. But i am stopping because i can't solve my issue about the market Force closing when installing apps...but i'm not sure it's app related

in 2.1

I just updated my phone to 2.1 and this app worked with no problems.

its the first time Ive rooted  anything so Im going to find out what to do next

I have att and i really want the new version but att has no plan as of know to release it.So if i root it and upgrade will i void my warranty?

Do you think its worth it?And does the one click app one you suggested work good and b that i mean what are the chances ill brick my phone?
What version can i upgrade to and whats some key features they give you?

Sorry if its a lot of questions but ive only jailbroken an ipod and thats rather simple except when i started to emerge my self in all the root files.
So i dont know how hard the droid system is.

EDIT:Also once i root it what do i do to upgrade to OS2.1 or does it do it for you?

Do you think its worth it?
Rooting, yes.

Excellent, and quite slim.
What version can i upgrade to and whats some key features they give you?
2.1 or any of the beta custom roms.
EDIT:Also once i root it what do i do to upgrade to OS2.1 or does it do it for you?
You don't need to root to update.
