Root One click root for the Epic 4G!

I cant make it work. i get different errors each time. Very frustrating. I have tried it with the sd mounted and unmounted. I have tried the latest version and it finds the device but says reboot adb (which I am still not clear on) or device not found or says it will take 2 min and then hangs for ever. I guess I will wait awhile. I do miss the froyo that I had on my rooted droid. apps2sd and flash was nice too.

I had the same problem. It would hang for ever (a long two minutes eh? hah). So I read on the XDA site that the front usb on the pc maybe the issue. It seems that the connection between the Epic and the pc must be thru one of the mother board usb ports. That is the usb ports on back of the pc and NOT to use the ones on the front of the pc. It worked for me as soon as I switched to a back usb port on the pc!

wifi tethering is working fine for me with this app:

The one on the market is 2.0.2. does it make a diff?
It took a couple attempts to get connected, but WOW was rooting easy!
