Hi guys,
Ok, so I'm about to go back over the road as a long haul trucker, and Verizon doesn't have unlimited data anymore (My wife changed plans and it kicked me out of the grandfathered unlimited data.. bummer) so now I'm trying to figure out how I can get my unlimited data back so I can game while on the road. In looking around, I see that T-Mobile probably is my best bet, but I'm wondering if I root the One S and share the data using the wifi app from the google play store, is there any way for them to tell what I'm doing?
With Verizon, they did ask me once when I tried to get back on unlimited data plan (after they caught their breath from laughing at me) what I was using all that data on (one month hit 175GB of data lol) and I just explained I was a long haul trucker and needed to live stream my fav BBC radio show since XM didn't carry them any more. Naturally, I do stream them, but I also game (MMO's) quite a bit on my down time.
To finish... can I drop verizon and jump over to T-Mobile, get the One S, root it, and get back to my live streaming & gaming days of the past without fear of T-Mobile hounding me?
Thanks! And a Happy Thanksgiving to those celebrating
