Love my Prevail and love this site, which has me at about 80% pure chewing satisfaction! I'm really humming over here--Gingerbread, Rooted, freed up memory, wireless tethering,...so beautiful!
But man, several things are driving me crazy and I can't seem to get them solved. I have truly tried to find the answer on these forums and elsewhere for the last couple of weeks with no luck. I'm coming from a Windows Touch Pro II and never thought I'd have these particular issues on Android--never even considered it:
Video. I've tried a couple of players and now have Mobo installed. It looks great and while laggy on my rooted Gingerbread, usually works fine. But the video quality looks...like an old t.v. set. These are .avi movies that played perfectly on my Touch Pro. And it has NO adjustment controls that I can find. Will anyone recommend a better player? Any tips. Now that I think about it, Youtube seems to take forever to load but looks pretty good...
Phone Calls through my Car Stereo. I have an auxillary jack in my car through which all audio out of my phone plays great. And when a call comes in, I can hear the caller great. But they can't hear me at all. This, even after I followed the advice of some and changed to TTY VCO. The microphone is disabled somehow. Is that a cord that I can buy to make this work? I have been taking calls on my phone hands free like this for YEARS! How can this not work?!
Finally, my phone keeps ringing some kind of alarm about every 30 minutes or so and I can't figure out why. Driving me crazy! There is no alert in the little pull down menu--no missed calls or texts or low battery or anything! Please help me make it stop!
Once these things are fixed, I'm going to be in phone heaven!
