Online Order vs In-Store Pickup

In case you missed it, you can use code PRMCD10 to get 10% off your online order. I will be buying 2 phones also and am a new Verizon customer, so I am going take a chance and order on Friday the 16th so I can get free activation on both lines. The code will save me $40 and the free activation saves $60. Worth waiting an extra couple days vs. in-store IMHO.

If you have access to the general VCAST program, you'll want to download Back-Up Assistant and run it.

It's ludicrous that the store told you they would charge you $35 to transfer contacts, especially considering you're already a customer...I'd talk to a manager/supervisor about this if I were you.

If your phone is truly a dated dumb-phone, and you can't access the program, than you will have to manually input contacts into the "X". If you have to go this route, I'd start saving them to a Gmail account.
It took a download to update my phone, but once I did that I found the BackupAssistant and now my contacts are backed up online! Thank you very much for the help. Now I think I'll proceed with the online purchase and tell VZW I'm keeping my $35, thankyouverymuch!!

ETA - Just surfing the VZW website, they also have the instructions for activating your phone. Sweet! I'm just not a techno-geek, at all <sigh>. There sure is a lot of stuff out there, though, if you just take the time to look.
