Help only a blue flashing light

Lurker
I have just charged my phone after it turned off due to a flat battery. I turned it on but got distracted. Later I pressed the power button and got the pincode screen. It didn't seem to be registering my keypresses and then the screen went off. Now all I have is a flashing blue led when I press the power button. (I have never noticed it being blue before.)

I have tried removing the battery for a time but it is still the same. It did get wet 6 months ago but after thorough dry out has worked fine ever since.

Any suggestions.... as it isn't much use at present!

Hi treeflea, and welcome to AF.

Hmm, blue flashing light is a new one on me, and one I've not found anything about so far either. So don't know what this means.

So what's its current state? Does it boot but not respond, or does it not boot? What happens if you try to boot it while pressing the volume down key? If you get to the white hboot screen then we may have some options.

Water damage is insidious though, so it is imaginable that something critical has shorted out a long time after the initial incident.

Thanks for your response, Hadron. I haven't been able to get anywhere with rebooting either normally or via a reset.

I'm aware of the insidious nature of water damage, and if this is the problem the event that caused it was insured - I fell in a bog whilst out walking, but I will need the evidence that it is water damage.
