Help only update?

i recently downloaded the LGmobile support tool and it only updated it to eclair 2.1, but i want to know if i put try to update it again if it will put on 2.3 or any newer updates?

i recently downloaded the LGmobile support tool and it only updated it to eclair 2.1, but i want to know if i put try to update it again if it will put on 2.3 or any newer updates?

LG have only made Android 2.1 available on the LG GT540 so far, so the LG update tool won't let you update it to Android 2.3 unless LG decide to make 2.3 available, which isn't looking very likely at the moment.
