Help Opening Market Issue

Interesting and frustrating problem.

When I attempt to open Market I get the following error:

Sorry!

The application Market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

Force Close

I have cleared the cache and data and also deinstalled the update. Also rebooted the phone and removed the battery and tried again with no luck.

On Market version 2.2.7. I have not loaded any new programs or made any changes, this just started today out of the blue.

Anyone have any ideas?

This morning it seems to be working, did nothing special except turn the phone off, remove the battery and let it sit for an hour. Inserted the battery and started it up, all is well.

Thanks for writing in. If you're having trouble accessing Android Market on your device, we recommend trying the following troubleshooting steps:

- Restart your phone, and try accessing Android Market again.
- Confirm that there is connectivity on your device (contact your mobile service provider if you aren't connected)

If you're still unable to access Android Market, we recommend performing a factory data reset on your device. Please note that this will reset your device to its original state, and while your media content (photos, music,
etc.) will not be deleted from the SD card, applications and their related data will be uninstalled. To perform a factory reset:

1) Go to Home > Menu > Settings > Privacy
2) Press "Factory data reset"
3) Press "Reset phone"

Note that in some devices the "Factory data reset" option may be located under a different menu item, such as Phone Storage.

After you perform the factory reset, make sure you sign into your device with the same primary Google Account you were using before. Please note, your primary Google Account will be the first account you use to sign into your phone after the factory reset.

I see how this could possibly help but if you've loaded a lot of apps and tweaked the phone pretty good then all that work goes away.

Any ideas on BU programs that would restore your apps and settings in case you had to do a Factory reset???
