Opening Renamed App

Okay, so Google Voice Search allows you to open other apps through the voice command "open". My launcher, Nova Launcher Prime, allows me to rename app icons on home pages. Is there a way to get Voice Search to recognize new app names? This would especially help apps that I don't rename, but instead, have a different names between Play Store and the app's icon. For example, it's called Plants vs Zombies 2 on the store, but labeled PvZ2 as an icon.

I agree. The edited labels in Nova Launcher are just the labels that Nova puts on its homescreens. They don't change any property of the app itself, they are just internal to Nova. Hence I don't see how any other app can know about them.
