Root Opening sbf file's

When opening sbf file's I get a window saying windows can not open file's and directs me to third party site's that wont me to pay what's up with this crap. I have got the sbf file's to work twice but it's a pain in the a33

Download RSD Lite. That's the program you need to use to SBF. You cannot do it by just double clicking the file. I have no idea how you've done it twice in the past without knowing so.

You flashed a droid with extracted sbf files without using rsdlite? Id like to know how the hell you pulled that one off.

No where did I say that I did not have rsd lite or the moto driver files.

The only way for you to get this message is if you DON'T have RSDlite installed on your pc and your pc doesn't know what to use to open the files. So yes, that does kinda say you don't have RSDlite.

Rsd lite does not work if you cant unzip the file,that was the problem my computer would not unzip the sbf file. A setting on my computer was the problem I have its working right now thank you guys for your help.The two times if have sbf'ed I used my son's computer thats where I confused you guys sorry for the miscommunication.

I have never had to unzip any SBF file. In RSD lite just click the browse (...) button and select the SBF file. Connect your phone in the bootloader and hit go.

Until my son got that setting right for me when I used rsd nothing would work the way it was suppose to and I did get it to work but I had no idea how i did get it to work now it works like a charm I sbfed back from stock gingerbread 10 min ago just for the hell of it.

Glad you got it working, now there is much less worry of having a paperweight. Just make sure you have plenty of battery life before SBFing.
