Operating system problems and synching to googlemail

Hello all, in desperate need of help.

I am having major problems with my Hero phone especially after downloading the new operating system. I am in the process of exchanging the phone but having problems backing up to googlemail.

When I synch it shows my folders but there are no contact details, can you please advise?

Has anyone else had the following problems and managed to solve them before I exchange my phone:

*last numbers dial list takes a minute to load
*key pad not responsive
*can't make calls when dialling number just returns to home screen


Would really appreciate urgen help need to give phone back this Monday

In the People app, try Menu | View and check that the 'Google' and 'Show auto Gmail contacts' checkboxes are ticked.
