The Incredible does have Gorilla Glass.
It does?!? Sorry to be off-topic here, but I have never, ever been able to find that. This topic was hotly debated in the Incredible forums, and the conclusion was that it didn't have it. Gorilla Glass would be a HUGE selling point, and for it NOT to be listed in the Incredible's official specs ANYWHERE is a dead giveaway that it just does not have it. So if you can find that in an official spec somewhere, and not from some poster's so-called "reply from an HTC rep" please let me know. Much thanks!
Resume topic!
It's right on Corning's website. HTC's list of devices with Gorilla Glass. I've dropped my Incredible numerous times and don't use a case or screen protector. I assumed it had one tough screen but didn't realize until recently that it had Gorilla Glass.

battery circle on android market solves that
- Battery life reporting - Why does it ONLY seem to report in 10% increments??? In the end, I guess it doesn't matter as long as it's accurate. But I personally like knowing if I'm at 67% vs. 61%. It will simply report 60% until it's at 59%, at which point it will report 50%.
First - on the Dinc & Gorilla Glass debate - I wonder if this was changed mid-run? Remember, the original Dinc's had AMOLED screens - then due to a shortage, they moved to LCDs. I wonder if Gorilla Glass came in the second iteration - because I had the AMOLED version and broke my screen (drops) twice. If that was Gorilla Glass, I hope to hell Gorilla Glass 2 is a LOT better!
My biggest gripe with the dinc is the "phone is low on space" message. I do not have that many apps! I have read all the "fixes" on the forums and nothing really works. So I hope the MAXX will eliminate that problem. Anybody here have a MAXX with lots and lots of apps on it?
DInc has always had Gorilla Glass, but GG is only scratch-resistant, not shatter-proof.
Just switched as well. Haven't played around enough to be able to review it, but I do have a question. Like the post above me I'm not a huge fan of the DRM's texting app, I loved the DINC because it would just auto-correct, but the Maxx won't, it'll just put whatever I type (and seriously, how does it think the first suggestion for "lpl" should be "please"?). I was wondering if there are any texting apps that would work better? I know there are a ton of "alternative" apps that give you your own number, or only work with other app users, etc. I'm just looking for an app that will let me text contacts from my phone, that has a better auto-correct feature than the Maxx. Also, why the hell can't you hold down the buttons to get alternative symbols? I'm a stickler for grammar and having to switch screens to add a ? or a , is kind of annoying lol.
Just upgraded from the Dinc to the Maxx. A few comments:
1. Motoblur is NOT as useful or polished as HTC sense. For example, in HTC you can control how the contact name displays: John Smith or Smith, John or Giantcorp. Moto does not allow that. They're all John Smith. HTC widgets are also slicker with much better eye candy than Moto's.
2. Moto keyboard is not as polished as HTC's. It does have some plusses, in terms of highlighting misspelled words and allowing easy correction.
3. I like HTC's text message app better. Ditto the email app.
4. I am still getting used to the huge size. It is hard to carry around in a holster. I'm also still trying to find a holster I like.
HOWEVER
MUCH faster than the Incredible. Not just the data, but also the processor. MUCH, MUCH better battery life despite being 4g. This is a true all-day-and-more phone. No more "Low on Space" errors.
Hey guys, I just downloaded Go SMS Pro, and I'm having trouble figuring out how to adjust the keyboard. I still can't make it so pressing and holding on letters inputs a counterpart symbol. Could you guys let me know where to go?
How did those find not having the track pad/track ball on the Droid Razr Maxx? I find I use it quite a bit on the Incredible?
I really like Swift Key X keyboard for text predictions. It learns from your previous texts and gmail, if you let it, and can almost read your mind. It's $3.99 but they have a free version for 30 days trial... Also like handcent for texting.Just switched as well. Haven't played around enough to be able to review it, but I do have a question.
