Opinions wanted: best browser

i use skyfire only because it pulls vids up in that hand menu bar.

stupid farcebook stuff on it takes up room for another option though.

I love Dolphin HD. I like how fast it loads pages, I like the real tabs and I like that you just swipe to the left to access your bookmarks.

I had Dolphin Browser HD and loved it but I heard that Opera was faster so I tried it. Zooming is way more difficult then it ever should be. Selecting text on a webpage was a trip to hell compared to little selection markers in Dolphin Browser HD. Opera was way faster but image quality was terrible even though I set it to high. I have now switched back Dolphin Browser HD.

I'm probably not going to have much company on this one,but,w/that said,I like the stock browser.{Laugh w/me,not @ me,OK?!} :-P All the browsers seem to lack a feature or two, otherwise,we'd all be in agreement on the browser choice. The stock browser could use an injection of DOLPHIN(Cache&history clear on exit)& SKYFIRE(video capabilities) to make it a runaway favorite.

That would be just too convenient! No way would that happen. :P

I guess it must be me but I still don't get the appeal of watching videos on a 3 1/2" screen. Is it because I am 45 years old?

it's handy when you want to amuse yourself or need to look something up but don't have time to reach a computer.

i have used youtube to look up videos on equipment for my company.
chainsaws and combine tractors mostly, found a nice one of a 48ft bucket truck i was looking at but the business budget wasn't big enough :( oh well.

Google chrome is actually going to make an appearance on the droid market in the near future... Will I use it? Probably not. It has lack luster features in it's full form... I like that I can download pictures from the web, with opera! :D

I find it convinient for when you are really bored, and do not have a computer nearby.

Or, here's a good example. I was doing some work on my girlfriends truck and she wanted to help. She didn't quite understand what we were doing even after I explained it to her.

I pulled up a how-to video on Youtube showing how the job is done step-by-step, and she understood it from there once she saw how everything went together and came apart. Made the job so much easier/faster having 2 people, instead of doing it by myself. The major benifit is that she learned something new, and using Youtube on the phone helped teach her.

I'm probably not going to have much company on this one......

I use the stock browser. It does what I need it to do and I never felt the need to use anything different. I tried Opera one time, didn't see the benefit of it, and went back to the stock browser. Been using stock browser since.

Lack luster is when something lacks the features you look for in an item, object, or thing of any kind of, "quality*. Personally, I think skyfire was a joke. It's lack of features made it hard to use, save bookmarks, or download items from it's services. I found it to be just like google chrome, and damn near worthless. I prefer to use something I can actually, "use" with speed, and ability. I am also the kind of person who needs all the bells and whistles to make the day run smoother! lol I customize everything I own, to make it work for me, if I don't have to customize it, it makes my life easier to manage...

I happen to like Google Chrome! Then again I'm exactly opposite of you. I prefer to be without the bells and whistles. I usually pick programs based on what I need them for, Exactly what I'd need them for and nothing else. I also don't really feel the need to customize everything. I'm actually pretty darn bland. LOL.

We don't think you are bland at all. You are plenty spicy enough for your friends at the ascend forum!
