Help Optical track-pad issue

Basically my track-pad will sometimes have no effect on the cursor in the keyboard. I dont think its a hardware issue...
Anyone els had this problem?

I must admit I do find it is a bit hit and miss, sometimes working well and not at other times. It's a bit disappointing to be honest.

Hmm... I probably should have said: I'm using the mod HTC keyboard with voice to text....... Its probably just a bug in the software...

have you tried covering it completely with thumb before then navigating? works better for me that way, but i agree that it is ofte not as helpful as I may like!

This is the one thing I don't like about the phone's hardware. I wish I could just turn it off with a long press.
