I am thinking about installing it today and am wondering if anyone has an opinion on what the optimal settings are for balancing between battery life and performance. On my old Optimus I ended up taking it off because it would cause it to hang with any worthwhile reduction of CPU speed. Thanks in advance.

On this device or another one? I probably got 25-50% more on my Optimus when I had it aggressive. That made the launcher crash a lot though. When it was not set as very aggressive then it still saved some power, but not enough to bother even using it. Since this phone has processing power to spare, I am hoping that I can slow things down to save some juice.

Thanks. I figured yours was. I was wondering about akikhia's experience since he/she didn't find it helpful.
Personally on my connect, I use the conservative setting with a lower 400 setting and high Max setting. I find that conservative saves more battery than ondemand because the CPU scaling isn't as frequent.
